Moomoo extends options trading hours* with pre-market and post-close sessions. Globe Newswire 19-Oct-2026 11:34 AM JERSEY CITY, N.J., Oct. 19, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) - Moomoo, a leading global investment and trading platform, today announced the launch of extended trading hours for U.S. listed options on its platform. Working with Cboe, Moomoo is offering investors day-one access to the new premarket and post-close trading sessions on Cboe Options Exchange. The expansion covers options on 25 stocks and five ETFs, giving investors additional flexibility to respond to market developments and manage their portfolios outside traditional trading hours. The expansion includes a premarket trading session from 7:30 to 9:25 a.m. ET and an additional after-hours session from 4:00 to 4:15 p.m. ET. The premarket session allows investors to respond to early-morning earnings announcements, economic reports and developments in overnight and international markets before the regular U.S. trading day begins. Investors can use options to adjust existing positions, hedge portfolio exposure or establish new positions based on those developments. The post-close session provides an additional window to respond to news released shortly after the closing bell. "Global investors are increasingly seeking access to the U.S. markets and the ability to manage risk and act on opportunities when they see fit," said Rob Hocking, Global Head of Derivatives at Cboe Global Markets. "By extending trading hours for single-stock and ETF options, Cboe is giving investors more flexibility, and we're excited that Moomoo clients now have access to these additional trading sessions." Moomoo unifies these capabilities with educational resources to help retail investors develop more informed strategies and manage their portfolios. Moomoo's Options Engine** gives users access to features that design, simulate and automate options trading strategies with virtual risk modeling, institutional activity tracking and no-code development tools. Through Moomoo's Options Strategy Builder, users can run scenario analysis and payoff visualizations to translate market views into strategies and evaluate potential outcomes before trading. Extended options trading hours complement those tools, granting investors additional flexibility to put their research into practice as market conditions change.

Fullerton and SGX Group open second Value-Up Singapore Equities Challenge to the public with new Open Category.

Fullerton and SGX Group open second Value-Up Singapore Equities Challenge to the public with new Open Category. October 9, 2026 - New Open Category invites eligible members of the public to compete individually using virtual portfolios of Singapore-listed securities - Student Category returns for its second year, offering tertiary students hands-on investing experience and potential internship opportunities - Moomoo Singapore joins as a Supporting Partner, contributing educational content on Singapore equities and capital market, while supporting youth talent development and employer branding initiatives. Fullerton Fund Management ("Fullerton") and SGX Group, in partnership with Moomoo Singapore as Supporting Partner, launched the second edition of the Fullerton / SGX Value-Up Singapore Equities Challenge(1) ("The Challenge") to the public for the first time, inviting Singaporeans and Permanent Residents aged 18 and above to test their investing skills on Singapore-listed small and mid-cap companies over eight weeks, with cash prizes for the top performers. The inaugural Challenge in 2025 was open to students only. This year's edition adds an Open Category for the public while retaining the Student Category. Participants in both categories will research and manage virtual portfolios of eligible Singapore-listed securities, with a focus on Singapore's small- and mid-cap ("SMID") segment. The trading simulation does not involve real capital. The Challenge comes as interest in Singapore's SMID segment grows. As of 30 June 2026, institutional net buying in SMID stocks had tripled year on year to S$606 million, while daily trading value rose 155% to S$310 million, its highest level since FY2014(2). The Challenge gives participants a structured and practical way to learn more about companies beyond the Straits Times Index. Open to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents aged 18 and above, the Open Category will run from 7 December 2026 to 29 January 2027 over an eight-week online trading period. Participants compete individually, constructing and managing portfolios from an eligible list of Singapore-listed securities. They will be ranked in real time on a leaderboard based on total portfolio return, with cash prizes of S$3,000, S$2,000 and S$1,000 for the top three participants. The Student Category returns for its second year and is open to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents aged 18 and above who are enrolled full-time in polytechnics or universities. Participants compete in teams of four in the same eight-week simulation, using eligible Singapore-listed securities focused primarily on the SMID segment. The top six teams from the qualifying round will advance to an in-person stock-pitch final, where they will present their research and investment thesis to a judging panel. The top three teams will receive cash prizes of S$10,000, S$5,000 and S$3,000. The category is designed to connect classroom learning with practical exposure to investing, industry practitioners and potential 8-month internship opportunities, through the Fullerton Singapore Value-Up Internship Programme. Building disciplined investment habits The Challenge is designed to encourage disciplined portfolio construction rather than concentrated bets. Participants must establish positions within the first five trading days. From 14 December 2026, portfolios must maintain at least 80% exposure to eligible securities at the end of each trading day, with cash holdings capped at 20%. When initiating or adding to a position, exposure to any individual eligible security must not exceed 10% of the portfolio's total value. Each portfolio may hold no more than 30 eligible securities; leverage, margin and derivatives are not permitted. Through the Challenge, participants will be able to: * Gain first-hand experience in researching and evaluating Singapore-listed companies. * Develop practical habits around portfolio construction, risk management and investment decision-making. * Build a stronger understanding of opportunities available within Singapore's equities market beyond the benchmark index. Ken Goh, Chief Investment Officer, Fullerton Fund Management, said: "Over the past year, we have seen growing interest in Singapore equities, reflecting broader recognition of the depth and diversity of our domestic market. The objective of the Fullerton/SGX Value-Up Singapore Equities Challenge is to motivate participants to identify and capture rising shareholder value, by encouraging young investors and members of the public to research companies, assess their potential and construct portfolios with greater discipline. The Challenge also supports our broader commitment to talent development. Participants from the inaugural Challenge have since joined Fullerton as interns, demonstrating how practical exposure can help inspire and nurture the next generation of investment professionals. Through this Challenge, we hope to contribute to a more informed and engaged Singapore equities market, with a broader base of investors participating in its long-term development." Ng Yao Loong, Head of Global Financial Markets, SGX Group, said: "In every market, there is a difference between what is well known and what is well understood. The Fullerton/SGX Value-Up Singapore Equities Challenge encourages participants to close that gap by researching the SMID segment, testing their assumptions and forming their own investment perspectives. By opening the Challenge to the public, we hope more people will discover the breadth of the Singapore stock market and deepen their understanding of the businesses behind it." Jeyson Ng, CEO, Moomoo Singapore said: "We are pleased to support Fullerton and SGX, both of whom are Moomoo's long-term strategic partners in the Singapore ecosystem, in making investing education more accessible to students and the wider public. Through practical learning resources on Singapore equities, company research and portfolio construction within the Moomoo app, we hope to help participants build the confidence and foundational skills to better understand the market. The Challenge also provides a meaningful platform for us to engage aspiring talent and nurture the next generation of finance and technology professionals." Moomoo Malaysia names Datuk Nicol David Brand Ambassador at MooFest 2026. 09/10/2026 * Eight-time squash world champion partners the investment platform to bring championship discipline and investor education to more Malaysians. KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, Oct. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - Moomoo Securities Malaysia Sdn Bhd. ("Moomoo Malaysia" or "Moomoo MY") today named eight-time squash world champion Datuk Nicol David as its official Brand Ambassador, in a headlining moment during the launch of MooFest 2026, the company's annual flagship investor event, running 9 to 11 October at Pavilion Bukit Jalil. Dennis Jee, CEO of Moomoo Malaysia alongside Brand Ambassador Datuk Nicol David. The partnership builds on Moomoo Malaysia's existing collaboration with the Nicol David Organisation (NDO), the non-profit foundation Datuk Nicol David co-founded with Mariana De Reyes to empower women, girls and boys through sport, education, mental health and community advancement. Earlier this year, Moomoo Malaysia committed RM100,000 to support NDO's work with underserved students in Kuala Lumpur and Penang. "We share a simple belief with NDO: young people need knowledge, confidence and opportunities to build a better future," said Dennis Jee, CEO of Moomoo Malaysia. "Datuk stands for strong values we believe in: care, preparation, staying strong through challenges, and always improving. Despite all her success, she continues to give back and help the next generation. That's why I'm proud that Datuk is now also Moomoo Malaysia's Brand Ambassador." "The money goes into classrooms, not campaigns," said Datuk Nicol David, on why she said yes. "You don't become a champion in one day. You learn the fundamentals, you make mistakes, you keep practising, and you learn from the people around you. Over time, you build the confidence to take on something bigger." As Brand Ambassador, Datuk Nicol will front Moomoo Malaysia's campaigns and appear across its platforms and events, bringing the same discipline and long-term thinking that defined her career on the court to how Moomoo Malaysia talks about investing. Fans in the North can look forward to seeing more of Datuk Nicol later this month, when Moomoo Malaysia opens its fourth physical store in Penang and marks the occasion with an opportunity to play pickleball with her. Details will be announced at a later date. The announcement anchored the opening of MooFest 2026, which runs through the weekend under the theme "The Age of Smarter Investing" at Centre Court, Pavilion Bukit Jalil. Beyond the Main Stage's market panels, attendees can look forward to a closing KOL panel featuring Timothy Tiah, Jonathan Quek and Nigel Chong, sharing real-world lessons on how they utilise Moomoo AI in their own investing journeys, and a Post-Budget & Year-End Playbook session breaking down what Budget 2027 means for investors.
