  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience is required.
  • A four-year bachelor's degree in Electromechanical Technology, Automation Engineering Technology, or Electrical Engineering is required.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Electrical drafting software.
  • Basic motion programming knowledge.
  • OSHA 1910 or NFPA 70E safety training.
  • Knowledge of industrial control safety standards.
  • Basic knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
Responsibilities
  • Design, program, assemble, and install electrical controls used in machines and tooling systems.
  • Support the Automation and Controls team with projects and provide post-machine-installation troubleshooting and support.
  • Project-manage small- to medium-sized machine installations.
  • Build and wire electrical panels.
  • Create electrical schematics and electrical cabinet layouts using AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Order project parts using the Ariba Purchasing system.
  • Wire external machine components to the electrical cabinet.
  • Use manufacturer software to develop bills of materials.
  • Work with IT application developers on program integrations.
  • Travel to Greenheck facilities to install machines and train maintenance and manufacturing personnel.
  • Support automation and controls technicians with their projects.
  • Provide parts lists with standard components used.
  • Research safety devices appropriate for their application.
  • Provide programming assistance.
  • Develop electrical parts lists for projects.
  • Write PLC, HMI, and robot programs using various software packages.
  • Develop low- to medium-complexity machine-control programs.
  • Design low- to medium-complexity machine-guarding strategies that comply with OSHA and ANSI standards.
  • Power up, troubleshoot, and commission machines to make them production-ready.
  • Integrate hydraulic and pneumatic systems into the machine electrical control system.
  • Provide post-machine-installation troubleshooting and support.
