About the Job

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is required.
  • 12–15 years of commercial, sales, or business-management leadership experience in power, electrical infrastructure, or critical infrastructure markets, with increasing responsibility for revenue and margin.
  • Proven ownership of order, sales, and gross-margin targets at scale, ideally delivered through a matrixed or indirect sales organization rather than a directly owned team.
  • Strong pricing and commercial acumen, including pricing governance, discounting and margin management, and deal structuring on complex, multi-product opportunities.
  • Strong technical competence in power systems sufficient to evaluate offers technically and commercially, assess a shaped solution, and judge where price can be held, improved, or made more aggressive.
  • Experience with S&OP or demand-planning processes and improving forecast accuracy and CRM discipline.
  • Ability to influence and orchestrate across a matrix without direct authority, building credibility with sales, product, finance, and engineering stakeholders.
  • Global executive experience and communication and relationship-building skills across countries, cultures, and organizational layers.
  • Resilience and comfort operating in a fast-moving, high-growth market.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and achieve the Power Business Unit's overall order, sales, and gross-margin targets across the full power product portfolio.
  • Translate the Business Unit's growth mandate into a coherent commercial strategy across customer segments, executed through the central Sales organization.
  • Orchestrate the shared sales effort across the matrix by setting direction on priority deals and mobilizing the appropriate technical and product resources.
  • Own commercial decisions on strategic deals, including discount level, market price, and approval of pricing requests from the sales network, where Product Management's single-product quoting authority ends.
  • Provide input on discounting guidelines, margin thresholds, and deal-escalation paths to optimize price gains and profitability.
  • Review deals after Sales and Technical Sales shape the initial technical solution; confirm or improve the price level or guide a more aggressive position when factory utilization allows.
  • Balance competitiveness with margin protection and ensure strategic-deal pricing decisions are consistent, disciplined, and defensible.
  • Participate in the Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning process and translate strategic deal insight into accurate demand forecasts.
  • Align customer demand with factory capacity and flag major deals that may stress lead times or supply.
  • Remediate inaccurate customer relationship management signals and provide closed-loop feedback to the Sales team to improve forecasting quality and reliability.
  • Lead structured win-loss reviews on strategic deals and use outcomes to improve commercial strategy, market positioning, and pricing structures.
  • Feed win-loss insights to Product Management and the Sales organization to improve pricing, packaging, and value positioning.
  • Engage the central Sales organization on sales training, key-account growth plans, and commercial strategy while recognizing the responsibilities of Technical Sales, Presales & Application Engineering, and Product Management in deal flow.
  • Apply Power commercial and technical judgment to improve strategic decisions without intervening in every opportunity.
  • Serve as the connective commercial layer supporting a generalist, multi-business-unit sales force on Power-specific strategic deals.
  • Identify potential commercial, contractual, and financial risks in strategic deal negotiations early.
  • Engage Commercial Finance to review non-standard terms, liability, and warranty conditions before commitments are made.
  • Coordinate with Bid Management in Commercial Operations on commercial-terms quality, including payment terms and liquidated-damages exposure, for large and non-standard deals.
  • Champion AI adoption in commercial workflows, applying AI to deal analytics, pricing insight, forecasting accuracy, and win-loss pattern analysis.
  • Use AI to improve the speed and quality of commercial decision-making within data-security and governance guidelines.
  • Travel approximately 30%, including customer, partner, and country travel across EMEA.

Desired Qualifications

  • An MBA.
  • Exposure to hyperscale, colocation, or NEO Cloud customers and to telecommunications and Commercial & Industrial segments.
  • Hands-on familiarity with integrated power systems and Power SKIDs, specifically medium- and low-voltage distribution, uninterruptible power supplies, switchgear, busbar, and energy storage, as sold in engineered, multi-product configurations.
  • A track record of running win-loss analysis and translating it into pricing or positioning changes.
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools to improve commercial productivity, pricing insight, or forecasting.
