About the Job

Requirements

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or a related field of study.
  • Eight to ten years of post-silicon validation experience with serial communication integrated circuits or power management integrated circuits.
  • Knowledge of electrostatic discharge and electrical fast transient testing is desirable.
  • Strong fundamentals in analog and digital circuits.
  • Expertise in developing automated tests using Python.
  • Strong experience using oscilloscopes, function generators, digital multimeters, electronic loads, power supplies, temperature chambers, and dataloggers.
  • Expertise using Excel pivot tables and data analysis tools.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams across different geographies.
  • In-office presence during all working days is required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform post-silicon validation and characterization of serial communication, power management, and bridge products, including RS-485 and RS-232, point-of-load converters, power management integrated circuits, GPIO expanders, and UART products.
  • Perform electrostatic discharge and electrical fast transient testing of serial communication integrated circuits, including RS-485 and RS-232.
  • Build and develop the full integrated circuit and system validation and characterization plan across process, voltage, and temperature conditions.
  • Build, manage, and debug test setups; execute validation testing based on the test plan; and generate comprehensive validation reports.
  • Develop and implement test, validation, and characterization automation strategies using Python to improve test time and efficiency.
  • Correlate automatic test equipment and bench characterization results.
  • Design and develop bench validation and test boards, schematics, and printed circuit board layouts, applying best practices for impedance matching, high-speed signal routing, signal grounding, and electrostatic discharge and electrical fast transient enhancements.
  • Debug integrated circuit and system specification violations and setup-related issues, and drive issues to resolution independently in coordination with cross-functional teams.
  • Work closely with design, systems, applications, test, and product teams to deliver production-worthy solutions.

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of electrostatic discharge and electrical fast transient testing.
