  • Experience performing general, trauma, and emergency department computed tomography procedures.
  • Graduation from an American Medical Association-approved radiologic technologist program.
  • Enrollment in a qualified computed tomography program.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification.
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists license.
  • Current New Jersey radiologic technologist license.
Responsibilities
  • Perform computed tomography procedures according to protocols established by the radiologist.
  • Operate the computed tomography scanner during interventional radiology procedures in the computed tomography department.
  • Maintain the work area by reporting equipment maintenance issues and monitoring supplies and deficiencies.
  • Participate in clinical activities.
  • Adhere to infection prevention policies and use the appropriate personal protective equipment.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with pediatric and cardiac computed tomography procedures.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists board certification in computed tomography; if not held at hire, obtain it within 12 months of employment.
