About the Job

Requirements

  • Significant experience as a Senior or Principal Product Manager in B2B SaaS, ideally at scale-up stage, with a track record of owning outcomes across more than one product line or workstream concurrently.
  • Demonstrated comfort operating in a technical, rules-heavy, or regulated domain, with experience shipping products where correctness, traceability, and audit-readiness were real constraints; carbon-specific experience is not required.
  • Strong, current evidence of modern product management practice that is discovery-led and outcome-oriented, and comfort working in an empowered product team model, even if not formally practising it.
  • Experience running discovery with UX/UI Designers, including prototyping, user journeys, and translating ambiguous problems into testable solutions.
  • Confident, senior-level customer-facing skills, including strategy and roadmap presentations, handling feedback and escalations directly, and engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A genuine data-informed approach to decision-making.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication calibrated for executive and highly technical audiences.
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to work with AI tooling across the product development lifecycle; direct prior experience is not required.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end product outcomes across the Carbon suite: Corporate Carbon Accounting, including Scope 3; Financed Emissions; Product Carbon Footprint; and Decarbonisation.
  • Prioritise across competing problem spaces and make trade-offs clear to engineering, leadership, and customers.
  • Build sufficient domain depth in each area to drive solutions forward independently without waiting for fully specified requirements from customers or subject-matter experts.
  • Be accountable for measurable product outcomes, including adoption, retention, and delivery against commercial commitments.
  • Work directly with external partners to define scope, resolve product gaps, and manage the product-level relationship as capabilities are delivered through partnerships.
  • Assess and integrate acquired or partnered capabilities into a coherent product experience.
  • Contribute commercial insight to build-versus-buy-versus-partner decisions and evaluate partner terms affecting the product, including service-level agreements, data rights, and roadmap influence.
  • Treat reporting rules and regulatory requirements as first-order product constraints.
  • Apply attention to detail to validation logic, edge cases, and user experience.
  • Track evolving disclosure requirements as an input to roadmap decisions.
  • Translate technical, regulation-driven requirements into decisions engineering can implement confidently.
  • Lead discovery through customer interviews, problem framing, and prototyping with UX/UI.
  • Partner with Engineering on solution design while allowing the team appropriate ownership of how problems are solved.
  • Use outcome-driven, discovery-led, and evidence-based product practices.
  • Design within a shared platform architecture and design system, balancing Carbon-specific needs with platform-wide consistency and reuse.
  • Identify where AI capabilities should be embedded in the Carbon suite and experiment with AI tools to accelerate discovery, delivery, and product quality.
  • Lead strategy and roadmap conversations directly with customers, including senior stakeholders.
  • Own live customer feedback, requirements, and escalations.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Carbon/ESG domain specialists, and Engineering to move decisions forward.
  • Raise product craft across the wider team through rigorous requirements, clear trade-off framing, and disciplined discovery, without formal management responsibility.
  • Use usage, adoption, feedback, and delivery data to inform prioritisation and support decisions.

Desired Qualifications

  • Direct knowledge of carbon accounting, ESG, or sustainability reporting, such as Scope 1/2/3, the GHG Protocol, PCAF, or CSRD/ESRS.
  • Experience managing or shaping products delivered through partnership or white-label arrangements.
  • Hands-on experience with AI tooling in the product development lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with product operations, including process design, tooling, and governance for a growing product organisation.
  • Experience in a company expanding platform scope through partnership or acquisition rather than organic build alone.
