Requirements
  • The candidate must be at least 18 years old.
  • The candidate must have a bachelor's degree in a human service field from an accredited university and one year of relevant experience with the target population, or an associate's degree and at least two years of experience with the target population, or a high school diploma or GED and at least three years of experience with the target population.
  • The candidate must be certified as a Peer or Family Specialist.
  • The candidate must have a valid New Mexico driver's license and current automobile insurance, and maintain a clean driving record.
  • The candidate must be willing to use a personal vehicle during employment.
  • The candidate must complete a tuberculosis test, physical exam, and drug testing.
  • The candidate must pass a criminal background check, including fingerprint clearance, as required for work with children.
  • The candidate must be available to work evening and weekend hours.
  • The candidate must communicate effectively in writing and verbally, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively.
  • The candidate must comprehend and interpret instructions and complete delegated tasks efficiently.
  • The candidate must work independently, follow up on assignments, multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure while maintaining focus on objectives.
  • The candidate must be organized, maintain professional documentation and work areas, and demonstrate reliability and good attendance.
  • The candidate must interact respectfully, maintain confidentiality and discretion, and work effectively with a team.
  • The candidate must become familiar with personnel and company program policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
  • The CCSS Worker coordinates and provides services and resources to individuals and families to promote recovery, rehabilitation, and resiliency.
  • The CCSS Worker addresses goals related to parenting skills, training and behavior management, independent living, learning, socializing, and recreation.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bilingual Spanish and English is a plus.
