  • Create a coherent multi-product customer experience that enables customers to discover, understand, adopt, and move between Zip products without creating a fragmented collection of features.
  • Partner with Product Design and Research to simplify complex financial concepts and build experiences that are clear, accessible, transparent, and grounded in customer needs.
  • Establish portfolio-level goals and success measures across acquisition, activation, adoption, engagement, retention, cross-sell, customer lifetime value, revenue, and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop an understanding of product economics and performance, working with Finance, Credit Risk, and Data to evaluate revenue, losses, delinquency, utilization, cost-to-serve, and other relevant portfolio measures.
  • Balance team capacity and product investment across products at different lifecycle stages, including early discovery, initial launch, responsible scaling, and mature-product optimization.
  • Partner with Marketing, Growth, CRM, and Partnerships to shape product positioning, go-to-market plans, onboarding, lifecycle engagement, cross-sell, and customer education.
  • Work with Credit Risk, Compliance, Legal, Finance, Treasury, and Operations from the beginning of product development to incorporate regulatory, credit, operational, funding, and customer considerations into product decisions.
  • Partner with Engineering to make tradeoffs between speed and scalability, deciding when to build reusable platform capabilities and when to use a targeted solution to learn.
  • Develop appropriate uses of artificial intelligence across the customer experience, including personalization, product discovery, financial understanding, customer support, and internal team productivity.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Product Managers, setting clear expectations and helping each person strengthen strategic thinking, customer empathy, analytical judgment, and execution.

  • Improve goal-setting, roadmap quality, decision-making, experimentation, product reviews, written communication, and cross-functional operating practices across the product-management group.
  • Communicate product strategy, progress, performance, risks, and tradeoffs clearly to working teams and senior leadership.

Zip Co Limited (ASX: ZIP) plans to launch Zip Cash, a same-day cash loan product for eligible US customers, it announced on October 13, 2026. The product extends Zip's instalment payments beyond checkout. More than 100,000 customers have joined the waitlist, including over 40,000 in the first 72 hours. Eligible customers may borrow up to $500, with funds deposited into their bank account as soon as the same business day. Each loan could carry a flat origination fee, disclosed before acceptance. There is no hard credit inquiry and no compounding fees. Zip Cash will first launch to select customers in eligible states during the 2026 holiday season, with wider availability to follow. Zip US partners with Google Cloud to build AI-native product factory with Gemini Enterprise

Zip US has partnered with Google Cloud to build an AI-Native Product Factory using Gemini Enterprise, aiming to transform how the company develops financial products. The factory will connect research, design, engineering, risk, legal, compliance, and customer experience teams through a shared agentic environment, enabling parallel work rather than sequential handoffs. The initiative represents a shift from using AI to augment work to reimagining the entire product-development lifecycle. Zip's AI assistant, Zia, will also be powered by Gemini Enterprise, evolving from a support tool to an agentic experience embedded in products. "The next competitive advantage in consumer finance will come from the ability to turn insights into trusted products faster than conventional operating models allow," said Joe Heck, CEO of Zip US.
