Scandic Hotels Group and Hilton have signed an agreement to explore and pursue hotel development opportunities in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland. The multi-year arrangement will leverage Hilton's international brands and commercial reach and Scandic's regional operating platform, local expertise, and Nordic presence. The 284-room hotel will operate under a Hilton franchise agreement and be managed by Scandic. It is scheduled to open in 2029. Construction is set to begin once outstanding conditions have been fulfilled. Planned facilities include a restaurant and bar, meeting and events space, wellness amenities, a fitness area, and an executive lounge with views of the Öresund Strait. Hilton president and CEO Chris Nassetta said: "This strategic agreement represents a significant milestone for Hilton in the Nordics, creating a clear pathway to expand its leading brands across four important markets. "It reflects our long-term ambition for the region and, together with Scandic, opens the door to significant new opportunities for Hilton, our owners and our guests."
