Requirements
  • Five to seven years of client experience in banking and/or the financial services industry, with experience working with businesses and organizations or in a retail or business banking role within First Financial.
  • Five to seven years of sales and service experience with previous success in achieving sales and service goals in a retail or business environment.
  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience in sales is preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of consumer and commercial banking, including deposits, credit, treasury, employee benefit programs, and investments.
  • Demonstrated success with consultative, needs-based selling.
  • Experience working with senior levels of organizations with strategic planning and execution.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, organizational, managerial, and project management skills, with an emphasis on presentation skills to small and large groups.

  • Ability to comply with all bank, loan, regulatory, lending, deposit, Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, Office of Foreign Assets Control, and suspicious activity reporting requirements and related policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
  • Partner with Retail Banking leadership and the WORKlife Program Manager to execute consumer bank strategies and objectives that attract, retain, and grow core business and commercial relationships in the community.
  • Develop and implement strategies and plans to engage districts and markets, establish behaviors and routines, and achieve individual, district, and regional production and growth goals.
  • Manage WORKlife efforts within the assigned district and/or region to ensure all WORKlife accounts are onboarded and receive continued focus.
  • Initiate and maintain timely and relevant contact with clients and prospects.
  • Establish personal sales plans and strategies for assigned districts and regions, leveraging leads and campaigns to deepen relationships and win new opportunities with companies and organizations.
  • Proactively call on existing and new business owners and key decision-makers to establish opportunities that drive new membership to the WORKlife Banking Program, anchored with a core checking account.
  • Call on and partner with commercial, business banking, treasury, retail, and other internal partners to offer the WORKlife Banking Program.
  • Present the WORKlife Banking Program to companies and organizations using a holistic financial-wellness approach and relevant partners.
  • Serve as a knowledge leader for the WORKlife Banking Program by presenting and organizing program resources, educational offerings, bank-store materials, marketing collateral, presentation decks, products, services, and relationship benefits.
  • Support the WORKlife Program Manager and Retail Leadership with challenging or complex WORKlife client situations and identify new introductions and opportunities in each market.
  • Serve as a liaison and knowledge resource for financial-center teams and associates regarding WORKlife educational offerings, products, services, campaigns, promotions, program enhancements, and company relationships.
  • Assist the Program Manager by providing leadership, feedback, and guidance to improve the program and its long-term success in assigned districts and regions.
  • Participate in bank marketing and sales efforts and contribute to initiatives and programs that promote the organization's strategic priorities.
  • Maintain operational excellence and comply with bank, loan, and regulatory guidelines and policies for loans and deposits within the portfolio.
  • Identify and develop the WORKlife book of companies and organizations, providing market knowledge, support, and involvement to foster relationships and uncover opportunities.
  • Introduce and include nearby branch teams, leaders, specialists, and bank partners as needed to deepen and expand First Financial's impact with WORKlife companies.
  • Perform group presentations and one-to-one consultations with employees of WORKlife companies and their leaders, educating them about First Financial banking solutions, including loans, deposits, wealth, planning, and financial wellness.
  • Serve as the company's point of contact and trusted advisor for the WORKlife Program.
  • Participate in and lead huddles within district and regional meetings to support sales and service activities.
  • Meet or exceed management-set sales goals by collaborating with lines of business to help clients meet their financial needs.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to bank associates and educate others on WORKlife Program activities, successes, performance, and future strategies.
  • Hold periodic meetings with district and market leadership, regional presidents, and key stakeholders to align resources with plans and prioritize actions.
  • Create strategic partnerships with internal and external partners, establish priorities, identify market needs, and develop plans, strategies, and tactics serving small businesses and owners.
  • Market campaigns, promotions, and products applicable to businesses, organizations, owners, and employees within assigned districts and regions.
  • Be accountable for district and regional WORKlife performance and lead local teams through ongoing coaching, development, performance management, development planning, and feedback on results.
  • Maintain adherence to compliance and regulatory procedures, including Bank Secrecy Act, Check 21, Customer Identification Program, Community Reinvestment Act, Home Mortgage Disclosure Act, Regulation B, Regulation D, Regulation E, Regulation CC, Truth in Savings, privacy compliance, and the Patriot Act, while maintaining responsibility for the book of business.
