About the company

Charterhouse provides an integrated technology partnership for mid-market businesses, offering voice, data, hosting and cybersecurity as a bundled managed service. Their approach centers on long-term contracts and deep, embedded support, aligning IT operations with a client’s business needs rather than selling one-off products. The company works by delivering a suite of managed IT solutions and gradually expanding capabilities and geographic reach through acquisitions, allowing it to handle mission-critical tech across a client’s operations. What sets Charterhouse apart is its focus on end-to-end integration and long-term client relationships, growing through steady, client-centered growth and strategic acquisitions rather than relying on venture-backed hype. The goal is to be the essential, behind-the-scenes technology partner that quietly powers business operations for mid-market companies, helping them run reliably and securely.

Charterhouse acquires Teleware in sixth deal since 2019 to expand UC offerings

Charterhouse has acquired Teleware to strengthen its unified communications business, marking its sixth acquisition since 2019. The deal expands Charterhouse's AI-powered agent and customer experience solutions integrated with Microsoft Teams, whilst adding expertise in voice recording, compliance and regulated communications. Teleware CEO Steve Haworth said the combination would enable the company to scale its technology and reach new markets. Charterhouse CEO Mike Wardell described the acquisition as a natural fit, noting that Teleware's AI-driven customer experience work for Microsoft Teams complements the company's strategy. Private equity firm August Equity acquired Charterhouse in 2018. Previous acquisitions include NETconnection, Lloyds Business Communications, and three companies purchased in 2021: Symity, Digital Exchange Products and Pentesec.
