Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of network security experience.
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Architecture, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics, or related experience or equivalent military experience.
  • Expertise in TCP/IP, LAN/WAN technologies, routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP, and branch/center architectures.
  • Extensive experience troubleshooting Remote Access VPN solutions, including IPSEC, PKI, and SSL technologies.
  • Ability to independently debug complex networks with an advanced understanding of packet flow across multiple OSI layers.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking operations including TCP/UDP, SNMP, IPv6, VLSM, CIDR, and NAT, and authentication protocols including LDAP, TACACS+, and Radius.
  • Proficiency with network troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark and GNS3.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences and C-level executives.
  • Willingness to work outside normal business hours as business needs dictate.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver expert-level technical assistance to top-tier customers by resolving complex security issues through troubleshooting, configuration guidance, and best-practice implementation.
  • Own support cases from initiation through resolution, including multi-vendor troubleshooting, fault isolation, root cause analysis, documentation, and timely ticketing-system updates.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by communicating technical solutions to technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Account, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Quality Assurance teams to address customer challenges and improve the customer experience.
  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews and Account Case Reviews, providing recommendations, release planning, and proactive risk-mitigation strategies.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Palo Alto Networks core technologies by identifying product defects through lab replication, network simulation, and performance testing.
  • Work with Engineering and Quality Assurance teams to file bug reports, develop test plans, and improve software and hardware quality during release cycles.
  • Facilitate hiring and onboarding through technical screenings and training on technical skills, soft skills, processes, and tools.
  • Author Technical Support Bulletins, training materials, and troubleshooting guides for internal and customer-facing knowledge resources.
  • Provide rapid support in high-pressure situations and travel to customer sites to expedite critical issue resolution.
  • Engage in technical discussions with cross-functional teams to improve transparency, security posture, and cybersecurity resilience.
  • Use AI-powered diagnostic utilities, automated log analyzers, and machine learning tools to accelerate root-cause analysis and improve multi-vendor troubleshooting workflows.
Desired Qualifications
  • Virtualization experience with AWS, Azure, VMware, or OpenStack.
  • Experience with Windows, macOS, and Linux, including debugging, registry editing, and plist work.
  • Experience with Python or shell scripting.
  • Multi-vendor exposure to Cisco Advanced Security Appliances, Palo Alto Networks next-generation firewalls, Prisma Access, Cisco Firepower, Check Point firewalls, Cisco switches, and intrusion detection/intrusion prevention systems.

Palo Alto Networks launches AI-powered penetration testing subscription, shares rise 3.5%

Palo Alto Networks launches AI-powered continuous security testing service

Palo Alto Networks has launched Unit 42 Continuous Frontier AI Defense, a cybersecurity service that uses AI to identify vulnerabilities and provide remediation guidance through continuous testing. The service integrates Anthropic's Claude Mythos 5 and OpenAI's GPT-5.6-Cyber models through a proprietary multi-model system. It provides continuous vulnerability testing across web applications, APIs, cloud infrastructure, source code repositories and network assets. The company invested $17 million in research and development over six months of internal testing and more than 100 customer engagements. During internal deployment, the system identified a year's worth of security exposures within three weeks. In customer assessments, exposures were identified in all cases, with 37% classified as high or critical severity. More than two-thirds of exposures discovered in third-party applications had no known CVE designation. The service is available worldwide through annual subscriptions with pricing varying by AI model selected.

Palo Alto Networks' Prisma AIRS hits $100M ARR in four quarters, fastest product launch in company history

Palo Alto Networks' AI security platform, Prisma AIRS, has surpassed $100 million in annual recurring revenue in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026. The milestone was reached within four quarters of general availability, making it the fastest-scaling product in the company's history. Prisma AIRS now serves over 800 customers and was included in most of the company's largest fourth-quarter transactions. The platform secures different stages of enterprise AI use, covering machine identities, AI agent monitoring, and real-time security controls. In the fourth quarter, Palo Alto Networks closed a $53 million platformisation deal with a global payments platform, which included a high-seven-figure commitment to Prisma AIRS. For fiscal 2027, the company expects Network & AI Security revenues to grow at a low-double-digit rate.
