About the job

Requirements
  • Proficient knowledge of network hardware equipment specifications, configuration and testing processes, and industry specifications.
  • Knowledge of configuring, activating, testing, and analyzing network systems.
  • Network engineering, problem management, and performance management experience.
  • Understanding of basic telecommunications and information technology terms and technology.
  • Knowledge of data and voice network design over transmission systems; router-to-router connections using military and commercial protocols such as BGP and ISIS; switch-to-switch trunking including VLANs; and circuit configurations through multiplexers.
  • Experience with network services including BGP, OSPF, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, WAN, VPN, VLAN, and VRF, and network appliances such as routers, load balancers, domain name servers, and firewalls.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently complete assignments while developing proficiency in processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, team-building, and collaboration skills.
  • An active Secret security clearance is required.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification, such as Security+ CE or equivalent.
  • A BS and 4–8 years of prior relevant experience, or a Master's degree and 2–6 years of prior relevant experience, is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform customer coordination, Initial Test and Acceptance (IT&A), reporting, and data input for new service activations to ensure implementation in accordance with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) standards.
  • Work directly with customers, solution architects, and vendor subject-matter experts to implement changes and identify, analyze, and resolve issues.
  • Manage Service Orders in accordance with Change Management procedures.
  • Ensure Telecommunication Service Orders (TSOs) are in place and accurate for scheduled network additions and changes.
  • Initiate network device configurations using configlets.
  • Analyze DISN and databases to validate and implement customer requirements.
  • Design and implement solutions to highly technical problems through testing, documentation, and modification of network-device configurations.
  • Coordinate and program customer circuit activation with commercial vendors to establish engineered end-to-end connectivity.
  • Monitor networks to assess whether deployed changes have affected customer traffic, using expected traffic behavior, lessons learned, and customer reporting.
  • Use systems-analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting users to determine hardware, software, or system functional requirements supporting customer resources.
  • Engage with DISA project managers and/or customers to resolve issues with incomplete or unclear requirements.
  • Contact stakeholders and facilitate approvals to ensure continued progress of service requests.
  • Engineer and model connections across the DISN network by calculating bandwidth constraints.
  • Perform simulations to determine optimal interaction and paths among network entities, including routers, switches, nodes, access points, and links.
  • Optimize network performance using DISN tools to support planning and design of multi-technology, multi-vendor networks, baseline analysis, cost-effective network-change planning, and survivability testing.
  • Initiate network grooming, provide impact assessments, and provide alternative-routing support during operational or real-world events while ensuring the integrity of analytical frameworks and modeling tools for end-to-end DODIN performance modeling and assessment.
  • Collect and assess DISA performance parameters, interact with model-based simulations, and recommend configurations to achieve prioritized DoD mission capability and effects.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior experience at DISA or knowledge of DISA systems and processes.
  • Prior experience with SharePoint data entry.
  • Experience performing customer outreach.
  • Experience with the DISA Request Fulfillment process and associated documents, including TSRs, TSOs, and completion reports, and experience with circulars.

What believers are saying

  • CIRI bought I2X on February 2, 2026, adding balance-sheet support and cross-sell reach.
  • The $243 million NRL contract extends five years and anchors technical demand.
  • Winning OASIS+ in January 2025 expands access to Intel, R&D, and engineering buyers.

What critics are saying

  • I2X depends heavily on federal buyers; one protest or recompete can crater revenue.
  • Integration under CIRI after February 2026 distracts leadership and muddies culture.
  • If Navy or NASA spending shifts, I2X loses its highest-value growth engine.

What makes ISYS Technologies unique

  • Founded in 1990, I2X combines classified and unclassified cyber with systems engineering.
  • The March 6, 2025 NRL award proves deep electronic-warfare credibility.
  • OSC Global gives I2X a larger platform across defense, intelligence, and civilian work.

Alaska Native corporation CIRI acquires IT firm I2X Technologies to expand $1B+ portfolio

Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI), an Alaska Native regional corporation, has acquired I2X Technologies, a provider of IT software, systems engineering and data management solutions to government and private-sector clients. Financial terms were not disclosed. I2X, founded in 1990 and headquartered in Littleton, Colorado, employs nearly 280 staff. The company will operate under OSC Global, CIRI's wholly owned IT and cybersecurity subsidiary formed in 2024. The acquisition expands CIRI's diverse business portfolio, which currently exceeds $1 billion in assets. CIRI, created under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act in 1972, has nearly 10,000 shareholders. CEO Swami Iyer said the purchase strengthens the company's portfolio and positions it for long-term growth.
