About the company

Pakistan Single Window

View

PSW centralizes Pakistan’s cross-border trade by connecting importers, exporters, customs, banks, and about 77 government agencies on one electronic platform to handle documents, registrations, payments, and licenses. Traders submit data through PSW, which validates, routes, and processes steps across agencies and banks to enable online licensing and clearance, eliminating paper forms like EIF and EFE and reducing paper-based processes. It stands apart as a government-led, national single-entry hub that coordinates customs, tax, licensing and financial steps across many agencies and banks, unlike fragmented or siloed systems. The goal is to make trade faster, cheaper, and more transparent while expanding digital trade services, with plans to digitize related ecosystem components like the Port Community System and Airport Community System.

AI Generated Summary Pakistan Single Window (PSW) has introduced a remote biometric verification facility through the National Database and Registration Authority's (Nadra) PakID mobile application, allowing users to complete the mandatory process through their smartphones. The new system eliminates the need for eligible users to physically visit a Nadra e-Sahulat Centre for biometric verification linked to PSW services. Under the new facility, users can complete biometric verification while subscribing to PSW, renewing their subscription or updating their profiles. The service is subject to Nadra's applicable verification requirements. Previously, PSW users were required to visit a Nadra e-Sahulat Centre in person to complete the biometric verification process. The integration with the PakID app now allows eligible users to complete the process remotely. The facility is expected to particularly benefit overseas Pakistanis who conduct trade-related activities in the country. They will be able to complete their required PSW biometric verification from abroad, reducing the need to travel to Pakistan solely for this purpose. During the transition period, both verification options will remain available. Users can either complete the process digitally through the PakID mobile application or continue using Nadra's e-Sahulat Centres. PSW Chief Executive Officer Syed Aftab Haider said the integration was aimed at responding to the needs of users in Pakistan and overseas. He said remote biometric verification would eliminate another physical step in the onboarding process and make the PSW user journey more convenient and accessible. According to PSW, the new arrangement removes the only mandatory physical visit previously required during the subscription process. As a result, eligible users can now complete the entire PSW subscription procedure digitally. The initiative forms part of PSW's wider efforts to expand digital services, simplify procedures and improve accessibility for businesses and traders. The integration is also expected to make trade-related services more convenient for overseas Pakistanis and reduce the administrative burden associated with physical verification. PSW integrates with NADRA's PakID app for remote biometric verification. Published September 22, 2026 | 04:10 PM ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Sep, 2026) The Pakistan Single Window (PSW) has integrated with the National Database and Registration Authority's (NADRA) PakID mobile App, enabling PSW users to complete the mandatory verification process remotely through the App for PSW subscription, subscription renewal and profile updates. Previously, completing biometric verification required users to physically visit a NADRA e-Sahulat Centre. With the PakID integration, users can now complete their biometric verification remotely through their smartphones, subject to applicable NADRA verification requirements, reducing the need for physical visits, said a news release. The facility offers a particularly significant convenience for overseas Pakistanis engaged in trade-related activities in Pakistan. Eligible overseas users can now complete their PSW biometric verification remotely through the PakID Mobile App. To ensure a smooth transition and uninterrupted facilitation for the business community, both verification channels will remain operational during an interim period. During this phase, users can choose to verify their biometrics either digitally via the PakID Mobile App or continue visiting NADRA e-Sahulat Centres. "The integration with NADRA's PakID Mobile App reflects our commitment to listening to the PSW community both in Pakistan and overseas and responding to their needs", said Syed Aftab Haider, CEO of PSW. "By enabling remote biometric verification, we are removing another physical trip in the onboarding process and making the PSW user journey more convenient, accessible, and user-driven." Integration with the PakID app eliminates the only physical visit required for PSW subscription and makes the entire process seamlessly digital. The integration reflects PSW's continued focus on using digital solutions to make its services more accessible, responsive and convenient, while addressing the practical needs of businesses and Pakistanis engaged in trade from abroad.
