Requirements
  • Currently licensed to practice nursing in North Carolina.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification is required.
  • Knowledge and interpretation of telemetry are required.
Responsibilities
  • Assess patients’ condition and status and prioritize individualized needs.
  • Identify the clinical significance of patient data.
  • Provide emergency care when indicated.
  • Function effectively in a group setting with patients having varied functional abilities.
  • Accurately collect patients’ exercise data and modify exercise levels and intensities according to individualized exercise prescriptions to maintain patient safety.
  • Complete unit-based competencies.
  • Work in the inpatient setting one to two times per week to complete cardiac rehabilitation consultations for ambulation and education.
  • Complete outpatient cardiac rehabilitation new-patient assessments.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
  • At least two years of clinical experience with cardiac patients.
  • At least two years of experience in patient education.
