About the job
- Six or more years of experience as an attorney.

- Ability to research statutes, regulations, case law, and other legal authorities.
- Ability to investigate various types of factual situations professionally and thoroughly.
- Ability to apply relevant legal authorities to a given factual situation.
- Ability to develop sound and practical legal conclusions about a client's obligations or opportunities in a given factual situation.
- Ability to present legal conclusions to attorneys, managers, or other client representatives in an organized, systematic, and professional manner.
- Ability and desire to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Proficiency in modern legal office skills, including Microsoft Office products, the Internet, Westlaw, and email.
- Bachelor's Degree and Juris Doctor.
- Valid New Jersey driver's license.
- Active bar admission in good standing and eligibility for New Jersey licensure; admission to the New Jersey Bar is required within one year of employment.
- Work independently and collaborate with other professionals and departments under the supervision of the Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer and Deputy General Counsel.
- Lead projects with minimal oversight.
- Supervise paralegals and junior attorneys as directed.
- Health law education and/or experience at a law firm, for the government, or another health system.
