What believers are saying

  • AI brings paying demand: Salesforce reported nearly $3.9 billion in Agentforce and Data 360 recurring revenue pace in August 2026.
  • Giving back gets paid time: Salesforce employees receive seven paid volunteer days each year.
  • Subscriptions provide a durable base: Salesforce earned $10.8 billion from subscriptions and support in the July 2026 quarter.

What critics are saying

  • Office roles demand attendance: Salesforce's published guidelines require four to five days in person for office-based roles.
  • Expansion brought debt: Salesforce borrowed $6 billion in November 2025 to help finance the Informatica acquisition.
  • Reliability failed during Dreamforce: a September 2026 Salesforce outage disrupted affected Hyperforce environments for seven hours and 36 minutes.

What makes Salesforce unique

  • Partners extend its platform: Salesforce's AgentExchange combines third-party apps, AI agents and services with unified purchasing and billing.
  • Everyone publishes a plan: Salesforce employees write annual goals visible to colleagues through its internal V2MOM system.
  • Learning includes real practice: Salesforce's free Trailhead courses award badges after quizzes and hands-on exercises in practice accounts.

Docusign brings its agreement platform natively into Salesforce, Agentforce and Slack

Docusign has expanded its more than 20-year partnership with Salesforce, bringing its Intelligent Agreement Management (IAM) platform natively into Salesforce, Agentforce, and Slack. The company announced the move on October 13, 2026. The integration lets sales teams draft, negotiate, and sign agreements without leaving their customer relationship management system. Sellers can ask Agentforce questions about contracts, generate or send agreements, track renewals, and flag hidden risks in obligations buried in master services agreements. In Slack, teams can request a contract, pull live customer and pricing data, apply approved terms, and route the deal to legal within the same thread. Docusign was also named a 2027 Salesforce Partner of the Year for Global Partner and System of Engagement.

Salesforce's $25B buyback lifts debt to $41.7B, or 38.1% of assets

Salesforce launches Agent Allowlist to control AI agent access to commerce APIs

Salesforce (NYSE:CRM) has introduced an Agent Allowlist in its Winter '27 CRM release, letting merchants control which AI agents can access their commerce APIs. The release also adds native agent skills, plug-in support, and cloud-based agent connections for AI-assisted customer and shopping journeys. Merchants can track agent-driven shopping behaviour and outcomes inside the CRM. The update supports Salesforce's push to rebuild its applications around AI agents. However, opening more commerce flows to external agents running on Microsoft or Google clouds widens the surface for security incidents, such as those previously seen in Slack.
