Keyloop to buy Motortech AI in bid to drive dealer operational efficiency

Keyloop to buy Motortech AI in bid to drive dealer operational efficiency. Keyloop has struck a deal to buy the UK based automotive AI firm Motortech.ai. It said the move will accelerate its programme for embedding new AI functionality into Fusion, its Automotive Retail Platform (ARP), helping dealers improve their operational efficiency and derive more value from customer interactions. Motortech.ai has developed an AI customer agent, AIME that replaces traditional website forms and manual replies via other channels with real time conversational tools. AIME can search and compare vehicles for prospective customers, qualify leads, handle questions, administer trade-ins, log vehicle reservations and process finance quotes and agreements. Tom Kilroy, CEO, Keyloop, said: "I'm extremely excited that Motortech.ai will soon become part of Keyloop. "We're already planning how their proven technology will be integrated throughout our tech stack, so that whenever and however a customer interacts with a dealer, both parties will feel the benefits." Gerard Thatcher, CEO and Founder of Motortech.ai, said: "This is an important new development for motor retailers and OEMs, as it unites the conversational power of our AI solutions with Keyloop's unrivalled data insights and market-leading enterprise solutions. "This agreement means we'll be able to accelerate deployment of a full conversational layer for dealerships and OEMs, providing better outcomes for customers and dealers alike." The acquisition is subject to regulatory clearances, which are expected to be received in the first quarter of 2026. Keyloop bills itself as a global leader in automotive technology, supplying software solutions to over 70% of the UK's top 200 dealer groups.

Keyloop joins Western Dealer Summit as Tech Partner

Keyloop joins Western Dealer Summit as tech Partner. Keyloop has been confirmed as the first official Technology Partner and a Platinum Sponsor of the 2025 Western Canadian Dealer Summit (WCDS), set to take place later this month. The annual summit brings together retailers, manufacturers, and technology providers from across Western Canada to discuss industry trends and emerging challenges in auto retail. The event serves as a forum for sharing insights that help dealers adapt to a rapidly changing business environment shaped by new technologies, shifting consumer expectations and economic pressures. "Sponsorships have been sold out since September and we expect over 360 attendees in total, making this our largest event ever," said Gerald Wood, president of the Motor Dealers Association of Alberta and WCDS2025 official, in a statement. Pontus Riska, Keyloop's global vice-president of business development, will deliver a keynote session titled "The Unified Theory of Automotive Retail." His presentation will focus on how dealerships can improve customer retention through better alignment between people, process and technology. Riska is expected to explore practical strategies that support long-term customer loyalty and operational efficiency. Keyloop recently introduced its Automotive Retail Platform, known as Fusion, to Canadian dealers at a Montreal event called Fusion Live. The platform is designed to streamline dealership operations and improve the flow of information between departments. Sebastiaan Roovers, Keyloop's vice-president of sales for the Americas, said the company continues to work with Canadian dealers to help integrate technology that supports modern retail practices and evolving customer needs.
