About the Job

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
  • 8–12 years of ASIC integrated-circuit design work experience.
  • Expertise with Cadence Genus or Synopsys Design Compiler.
  • Expertise with Cadence Tempus or Synopsys PrimeTime.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technically in the ASIC design implementation domain, from design architectural understanding through timing signoff for tapeout.
  • Develop and sign off integrated-circuit design projects for RTL-to-GDS implementation and flow improvement.
  • Understand architectural and micro-architectural intent.
  • Structure RTL design for effective and efficient synthesis implementation.
  • Derive timing constraints from design specifications and review and validate them with the respective designer or architect for signoff.
  • Implement design-for-test, including basic scan insertion, compression, launch-on-capture and launch-on-shift, and RAM built-in self-test, through advanced handling of performance, schedule, and coverage trade-offs.
  • Implement low-power design, including architectural feedback, vector-driven synthesis and layout optimization, and leakage and dynamic power control techniques.
  • Provide technical guidance and reviews to help team members solve complex challenges.
  • Create technical intellectual property, such as patents and trade secrets.
  • Drive best-in-class design implementation approaches and processes or benchmark new design methodologies.
  • Document integrated-circuit design implementation and work procedures, including implementation approaches, considerations, challenges, and solutions using corporate template documentation.
  • Complete audits and checklists, and review and close them in compliance with corporate Design Control Procedures.
  • File issues, solution details, and review confirmations in the project ticketing system (PEPS) or CAD ticketing system (JIRA).
  • Interface with project managers, product-development and automatic test pattern generation teams on project-related issues.
  • Interface with CAD/TA on flow methodology.

Desired Qualifications

  • Exposure to 7 nm and below advanced process nodes.
  • Familiarity with SystemVerilog fundamentals and coding.
  • Scripting skills in Perl, Tcl, shell, or Python.
