Millie and El Camino launch joint maternity clinic and more digital health news. Lyric partners with Verisys to improve payment accuracy, and Carenet Health acquires Invene to automate interoperability and improve health outcomes. By Eve Bender, Healthcare Reporter | October 16, 2026 | 4:23 PM Technology-enabled women's health company Millie and El Camino Health announced a joint maternity clinic scheduled to open in Palo Alto, California, in December to connect Millie's maternity-led care with the health system's hospital and specialty services. The clinic's services will span preconception, pregnancy and postpartum care, including miscarriage management, lactation support, mental health services and nutrition counseling. Postpartum support will include a home visit and remote monitoring, with patients connected to El Camino Health's labor and delivery services. "We built Millie to reimagine maternity care around what families need: a connected and supportive experience with better outcomes," Anu Sharma, Millie's founder and CEO, said in a statement. "We're excited to partner with El Camino Health to bring that vision to more families through a model that combines trusted health system expertise with a modern, relationship-based approach to care." The organizations said the joint clinic will provide coordinated care beyond a traditional referral arrangement. El Camino Health handles approximately 5,000 births annually, and its Mountain View campus includes the Melchor Family Center for Women and Newborns, which supports high-risk deliveries and neonatal intensive care. The Palo Alto location is part of a wider expansion planned by the partners across Silicon Valley and the Bay Area. The partners are developing a second clinic in the South Bay, expected to open in the coming months. Healthcare payment technology company Lyric has partnered with provider data company Verisys to explore how verified provider information can improve claims decisions, beginning with payment accuracy. The collaboration will bring Verisys data into the Lyric42 platform, aiming to help health plans identify providers with expired or revoked licenses, sanctions or exclusions from federal health programs. The companies aim to flag those risks earlier and reduce unnecessary reviews for providers who meet requirements. "Health plans want to pay providers who meet every requirement with confidence and focus their attention where the real risk is," Brian Berkowitz, Lyric's chief product officer, said in a statement. Lyric42 is an AI healthcare intelligence platform focused on payment accuracy and cost-of-care workflows. It combines information from Lyric products and outside partners to create recommendations accompanied by supporting explanations, while leaving decisions with clients. The companies said Verisys' information on provider eligibility, licensure and compliance could add context to those recommendations. Specific products, use cases and operating arrangements will be determined as the partnership develops.
