Responsibilities
  • Communicate with Occupational Therapists regarding progression of the plan of care.
  • Implement interventions and provide education in line with the plan of care and within the Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant scope of practice.
  • Recommend adaptive equipment or durable medical equipment to help patients reach their highest level of safe independence in activities of daily living.
  • Work with the interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs while supporting the hospital's mission and values.
  • Document and bill appropriately.

  • Experience or interest in acute care and outpatient therapy settings is applicable, as both therapy opportunities are available.
