About the job

Requirements
  • You have led a multi-segment sales organization, with second-line leaders reporting to you, and taken it well past the number it was handed.
  • You are a proven top enterprise closer who has carried and repeatedly exceeded a large quota, winning complex, multi-stakeholder deals.
  • You have owned retention and expansion, not just new-logo sales, and know how to scale teams as a revenue function.
  • You know what effective selling looks like at every deal size and can develop it in others, including velocity motions in SMB, structured discovery in Mid-Market, and long sales cycles, procurement, and security reviews in Enterprise.
  • You have built forecasting, compensation plans, territory and capacity planning, pipeline reviews, and hiring processes.
  • You can build trust with executives and C-suite leaders and coach your leaders to earn that trust.
  • You develop leaders and reps through intentional investment in their growth, direct feedback, and creating conditions for strong performance.
  • You are in New York City or willing to relocate; the role is in-office.
Responsibilities
  • Own net new annual recurring revenue, net revenue retention, and gross retention across Enterprise, Mid-Market, SMB, and Customer Success.
  • Lead, grow, and develop segment leaders and reps; set standards for pipeline, deal quality, quota attainment, and retention; and coach the organization to meet them.
  • Design distinct sales processes, playbooks, and deal motions for Enterprise, Mid-Market, and SMB, and determine which motions belong in each segment.
  • Run Customer Success as a revenue team, owning onboarding, adoption, renewals, and expansion and ensuring customers achieve the behavior change they purchased.
  • Personally run the largest enterprise closes and hardest renewals alongside segment leaders, demonstrating effective practices.
  • Own forecasting; define key metrics including pipeline coverage, win rate, cycle time, average contract value, net new annual recurring revenue, net revenue retention, and gross revenue retention; and establish pipeline reviews, quarterly business reviews, and accountability processes.
  • Set compensation and capacity plans for each segment and hire ahead of the number.
  • Represent customer needs to the product organization by turning feedback across segments into prioritized input that shapes the product roadmap.
  • Partner with Growth, Sales, and Product to create a seamless buyer experience from first contact through close, renewal, and expansion, and remove internal friction that slows deals.
Desired Qualifications
  • You were an early hire at a fast-growing startup.
  • You have sold a behavior-change, coaching, or enablement product where success involves changing how a whole team works, not just signing a contract.
  • You have mentored or coached reps and want to do so as a core part of your work.

AI startup CEO pays employees $18K annually to live near office, claims flow state justifies investment

Rilla, a New York-based AI startup building speech analytics software, offers employees an $18,000 annual housing stipend to live within a 10-minute bike ride of its Williamsburg office. CEO Sebastian Jimenez says the investment helps remove friction from employees' lives so they can focus on work. The company's culture centres on maintaining "flow state" — complete focus and immersion. Employees typically work 12-hour days, six days a week, and the company provides three daily meals and fitness facilities. Rilla spends roughly $37,000 per employee annually on housing, meals and fitness benefits, excluding healthcare and equity. About 80% of Rilla's 120 employees take the housing stipend. The company recently signed a 10-year lease for a penthouse office with exceptional ventilation after consulting Harvard expert Dr Joe Allen, who found high CO₂ levels impair cognitive performance.

Spotio And Rillavoice Partner To Create Unprecedented Transparency For

Rillavoice & SPOTIO For the first time, field sales managers have a fully-transparent solution that represents and reinforces both the art and the science of selling - it really is the best of both worlds. This collaboration between the two market leaders brings industry-first capabilities to address ongoing challenges in creating effective coaching and training programs for outside sales teams at scale. For field sales, face-to-face coaching is extremely important for developing high-performing teams. Still, training and ride-alongs are incredibly manual, time-consuming, and not scalable for large and distributed workforces
