Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Some related experience is preferred.
  • The candidate must have customer service skills and a courteous, helpful demeanor.
  • The candidate must be able to communicate with and respect the needs of senior citizens.
  • The candidate must have good written and verbal communication skills and be able to read and comprehend agreements, correspondence, and memos.
  • The candidate must be able to follow instructions, handle problems involving several variables, use good judgment, organize work, solve problems, work as part of a team, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • The candidate must be able to operate a cell phone or pager and telephone.
  • The candidate must be able to stand, sit, walk, climb stairs, reach with the hands and arms, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
  • The candidate must have close-vision ability and be able to operate various hand and power tools and other maintenance or repair equipment.
Responsibilities
  • Clean resident apartment homes by dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, disinfecting, and washing windows.
  • Empty trash, waste, and other disposable materials and transport them to the disposal area.
  • Assist care staff with cleaning lobbies, restrooms, hallways, elevators, stairwells, and common spaces.
  • Report needed repairs to the Executive Director and maintenance specialist.
