Requirements
  • An advanced degree such as PharmD, MD, PhD, or DVM is required; pharmacist licensure is not required.
  • Applicants must have ongoing eligibility to work for any employer in the United States; the company cannot provide work sponsorship.
  • Applicants should preferably be physically located in the Eastern or Central time zones and able to work approximately 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Effective attention to detail and accuracy, including the ability to conform writing to a prescribed style format.
  • A high level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
  • Ability to think analytically and effectively plan, prioritize, and execute.
  • Expert verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Develop an understanding of the medical communications industry and the services provided by an agency to pharmaceutical and biotechnology client teams.
  • Develop core competency experience by creating various types of scientific communications.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal Account, Creative, and Medical Strategy partners and external client stakeholders.
  • Develop an understanding of the key competencies and responsibilities of Medical Writing and Scientific Director roles.
  • Gain familiarity with industry guidelines and learn Good Publication Practices.
  • Apply Good Publication Practices and other learnings while developing highly visible projects.
  • Complete a writing assessment as part of the selection process.

  • Applicants may include letters of recommendation and writing samples, although these are not required.

Citrus Health Group acquires CNS-focused medical communications agency The Medicine Group

Citrus Health Group and NaviMed Capital have acquired The Medicine Group, a medical communications agency specialising in central nervous system disorders. Founded by Philip Sjostedt in 2010 and based in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, the company focuses on communicating scientific and clinical evidence for CNS treatments under development. The acquisition strengthens Citrus Health Group's CNS centre of expertise, which also includes oncology and rare diseases. Sjostedt will continue in a leadership role as a consultant and member of the Citrus Executive Team. The deal enables The Medicine Group's clients to access a broader range of medical affairs services through Citrus Health Group's platform. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
