EōS Fitness plans new Forney location.

EōS Fitness plans new Forney location. The fitness chain EōS Fitness is adding another North Texas location as it continues expanding across the state. Published Date: September 17, 2026, 9:24 PM EDT According to public filings, EōS Fitness is planning a new location in Forney at the northwest corner of Gateway Boulevard and US 80, adding another gym to the company's growing Texas footprint. The planned location will be in Kaufman County. EōS Fitness is a 'High Value. Low Price.' fitness chain offering strength and cardio equipment, group fitness classes, personal training, recovery amenities, saunas, and other wellness-focused services. What Now Dallas reached out to EōS Fitness representatives to inquire about the opening timeline, but did not receive a response prior to press time. Permitting records list a construction completion date targeted for August 2027. However, dates listed in public filings are not always definitive. The company operates more than 225 locations nationwide that are open or in development. The Forney project comes as EōS continues to expand throughout Texas. In July, the company announced that it opened nine new gyms and signed nine additional leases across six states during the second quarter of 2026, while noting that Texas remained a key part of its growth strategy. At the time, EōS said it had reached 30 gyms statewide. The company's Texas expansion is also one What Now Dallas has followed for several years. In 2022, What Now Dallas reported that EōS had four locations planned across the Dallas-Fort Worth area as the brand established its Texas presence. More recently, What Now Austin reported on additional EōS locations planned around the Austin area, including a gym near Mopac and Parmer Lane targeted for 2027. Love its content? Central Florida is getting four new EōS Fitness gyms.

Central Florida is getting four new EōS Fitness gyms. Posted by Patrick Urbainczyk on September 14, 2026 0 Comments Central Florida is getting four new EōS Fitness gyms between 2027 and 2028 - and the flagship of the bunch is backfilling one of the more stubborn vacancies at one of Orlando's oldest shopping centers. What is EōS Fitness bringing to Colonial Plaza? EōS signed a lease for 42,780 square feet at Colonial Plaza, backfilling the long-vacant former Conn's HomePlus space. The location, at 2628 E Colonial Drive, is set to open in 2027. True to the brand's low-barrier model, memberships will start at $9.99 a month, and the club will operate on a 24/7 access schedule. Amenities planned for the space include the brand's signature MOVEōS Cinema, an outdoor training area called The Backyard, a dedicated recovery room, a Kids' Club, and a Refresh area with a cold plunge, hot tub, and infrared sauna. Where else is EōS expanding in Central Florida? Orlando is just one of four Central Florida locations EōS has lined up, all part of a national push toward 250 gyms by 2030. In Winter Park, EōS is taking over the existing LA Fitness space at 1540 State Road 436, also targeting a 2027 opening. Melbourne Square is getting a location in 2027 as well, and Daytona Beach - at 1501 Outlet Blvd - is set to open in 2028, a year behind the other three. Image: EōS Fitness Why Colonial Plaza? Colonial Plaza is one of Orlando's oldest open-air shopping centers, and EōS's arrival is part of a broader wave of reinvestment there. At roughly 500,000 square feet, the center is already home to Sprouts, Marshalls, Ulta, Total Wine, Old Navy, Barnes & Noble, and Hobby Lobby. A HomeGoods is also separately planned to backfill the former Big Lots space at the same center. The EōS lease was brokered by SRS Real Estate Partners, with JLL representing landlord Kimco Realty. What this means for the area. National retail and fitness brands do extensive homework on rooftops, traffic counts, and demographics before signing a lease - so four EōS locations landing across Central Florida in the same window is a real signal of confidence in the region's growth. And because this is a backfill of long-vacant space rather than new ground-up construction, it tends to have an outsized, immediate impact on how a corridor feels - filling an empty storefront does a lot for a shopping center's overall draw. The well-known gym is planning to open in the West Oaks neighborhood within the Kingsbridge Commerce Park. According to the brand's website, the new EoS, listed as "coming soon," is set to open at 9025 Highway 6 S. The gym opening date is listed as 2027, but no word just yet on when exactly in 2027 the new EoS gym set to come to West Oaks will open. What Now Houston briefly spoke with the fitness company's team, who confirmed the opening. "EōS Fitness is opening a 45,000-square-foot gym at 9025 Highway 6 S. in Houston in 2027," the team shared. "The fast-growing gym brand, with more than 225 locations open or on the way nationwide, is known for its High Value. Low Price.(R)(HVLP) gyms, offering premium cardio and strength equipment, innovative recovery solutions, smart technologies, group fitness classes, and personal training options. Memberships start as low as $9.99 per month." EōS Fitness was founded in 2014 after a private equity firm acquired a large regional portfolio of Gold's Gym locations in the Southwest and rebranded them under a new "High Value. Low Price. (HVLP)" model. The entity that formed the foundation of EōS was initially a major Gold's Gym area developer in Phoenix, Las Vegas, and Southern California, with operations kicking off in 2015. Today, the company is headquartered in Dallas, Texas, with more than 225 EoS locations operating or planned nationwide. EoS is anticipated to open in the West Oaks neighborhood within the Kingsbridge Commerce Park at 9025 Highway 6 S. in 2027. (This is a developing story. Dallas-Fort Worth fitness scene bulks up with 6 new studios and gym upgrades to try this fall.

Dallas-Fort Worth fitness scene bulks up with 6 new studios and gym upgrades to try this fall. Sep 8, 2026 | 12:00 pm Promoted articles are crafted by CultureMap Create on behalf of its sponsors. From women-only strength training and athletic pilates to recovery lounges and affordable gyms with boutique-style perks, Dallas-Fort Worth's fitness scene is entering a strong new season. Fall may be the unofficial start of a new fitness season, and Dallas-Fort Worth has plenty of fresh places to put that renewed motivation to work. The latest wave of studio and gym news shows that local fitness is moving well beyond rows of treadmills: Strength training is becoming more welcoming, Pilates is getting more athletic, and recovery amenities are showing up at every price point. Whether the goal is lifting heavier, trying reformer Pilates, or simply finding a gym that makes it easier to stay consistent, these new openings and major upgrades offer a reason to refresh the routine. LiftHER brings women-only strength training to Dallas Coming to Inwood Village, is a new women-only gym built around approachable, progressive strength training. The concept comes from SculptHouse founder and CEO Katherine Mason and Nike global trainer Betina Gozo Shimonek, whose client roster has included Jessica Alba, Brittany Mahomes, and Mindy Kaling. Small-group classes will be capped at eight to 14 women and combine dedicated lifting racks with instructor-led progressive programming. Members who prefer to train on their own can book OpenRack sessions, and complimentary DEXA scans will help track changes in body composition over time. The studio is designed to support women through different seasons of life, including pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and the everyday physical demands of work and motherhood. Jungle Studio Fitness plants roots in Park Cities Jungle Studio Fitness has added a third North Texas location in Inwood Village. Jungle Park Cities opened at 5560 W. Lovers Ln., Suite 243, joining the brand's Bishop Arts and Fort Worth studios. The infrared-heated, mat-based lineup includes Jungle Method, a beat-driven mix of Pilates-inspired movement, strength, cardio, and athletic conditioning; Pilates Sculpt; Strength + Sculpt; and the more restorative Yoga + Sound. With music-forward classes and hospitality-minded interiors, Jungle aims to feel more like a destination than a traditional gym. sculptme debuts its first U.S. studio in Fort Worth International reformer Pilates brand, sculptme chose Fort Worth for its first U.S. location. The studio opened in May with a method that blends traditional reformer work and progressive strength training. Classes emphasize controlled resistance, muscle activation, and progressive overload to build strength and mobility, while small groups allow instructors to offer hands-on coaching. The format is challenging but designed to remain accessible to both Pilates newcomers and experienced regulars. EoS Fitness opens a feature-packed Murphy gym EoS Fitness opened its first Murphy location on August 27 at Murphy Marketplace, 229 E. FM 544. The renovated, 43,801-square-foot gym is open around the clock. Workout options range from a cardio cinema and indoor turf yard to boxing classes, free weights, smart strength machines, and a dedicated glute-training area. There is even a camera-friendly workout space with curated lighting for members who like to film their sessions. Recovery gets equal billing. Members can move between a cold plunge, hot tub, and infrared sauna; use massage chairs, percussion massagers, compression boots, and stretch tables; or settle into a CryoLounge chair with targeted heating and cooling zones. SotoMethod makes its Dallas debut in Highland Park New York City fitness concept SotoMethod will open its first studio outside New York on September 19 at The Shops of Highland Park, 4212 Oak Lawn Ave. Founded by Hilary Hoffman, SotoMethod is a high-intensity, low-impact workout that blends cardio intervals with sculpting and strength work. Its structured, repeatable programming is designed to help members build endurance and strength while measuring progress over time. The new studio will pair the brand's efficient training format with small, community-focused classes and a highly coached environment. 24 Hour Fitness remakes its Castle Hills club The 24 Hour Fitness Castle Hills Super-Sport in Lewisville celebrated a grand reopening in July after a major remodel. Located at 4866 State Hwy. 121, the refreshed club has a redesigned floor plan, expanded cardio space, and two notable boutique-inspired additions. Reformer24 brings Pilates programming into a dedicated reformer studio, while Recovery24 features Hyperice Normatec compression therapy and Human Touch massage chairs. The additions reflect a larger shift toward giving recovery and mobility a permanent place in the workout routine. Together, the openings make one thing clear: The newest DFW gyms are not asking members to choose between strength, recovery, community, and price. Increasingly, they are finding ways to put all four under one roof. Featured Event Oct 02, 2026 | 10:00 am Galleria Dallas presents The BooMont Hotel Camp Mystic News Bankrupt Camp Mystic seeks to sell the property as legal troubles grow. Sep 28, 2026 | 5:32 pm The owners of Camp Mystic have proposed selling off the riverfront property as part of a bankruptcy plan, with hopes that a buyer will preserve the camp's "historic mission" following the death of 27 campers and counselors swept away by a 2025 flood. The century-old private Christian girls' camp filed a Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization plan on September 25 that would auction off the 749 acres (3 square kilometers) it owns and other assets. The sprawling campus, nestled among rolling wooded hills on the banks of the Guadalupe River, had several single-story cabins that housed some of the youngest campers and a recreation hall near the riverfront. A second campus on elevated ground was not flooded. The Eastland family has owned the camp for decades and initially sought to reopen this summer. But they faced fierce opposition from victims' families and some state lawmakers, lawsuits, and legislative investigations into what went wrong. A buyer would likely get a portion of the camp frozen in time. Families of the victims have fought to stop any demolition of damaged cabins and buildings and stop repairs as part of their lawsuits. The bankruptcy plan said the owners expect a purchaser would be backed by a group of families that support the camp. "Nothing in the plan requires any buyer to operate the property as a camp," the filing said, "but the plan states an express preference, in determining the highest or otherwise best bid, for a buyer that will maintain the historic mission of the camp." Twenty-five campers and two counselors were killed when the river surged over its banks in the pre-dawn hours of July 4, 2025. Camp owner and director Richard Eastland was also killed. At least 136 people were killed along a several-mile stretch of the river. Earlier this month, state police investigators sought search warrants for the electronic communications of the camp's owners, saying they could provide evidence of manslaughter, negligent homicide, child abandonment, or other crimes. No charges have been brought. A probe by state lawmakers determined the camp's young and inexperienced counselors were not trained for floods and other emergencies. It said an earlier decision to evacuate could have saved every life. Most of the victims were under age 10, and some were attending camp for the first time. The camp's bankruptcy proposal would have to be approved by U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Christopher M. Lopez. Officials with Camp Mystic did not immediately respond to an emailed request for comment Monday. All creditors, including the families who have sued Camp Mystic over the deaths, will have a chance to respond to the plan. "The Eastlands are now attempting to determine the future of the Camp Mystic property, but the victims' families including my clients, will fight to protect their rights and ensure any sale is fair and transparent," said Tim Ferguson, attorney for the family of 8-year-old Mary Grace Baker, one of the campers who died. "The Bakers intend to continue fighting for answers, accountability and justice for their daughter," Ferguson said.
