Requirements
- A group exercise instructor or personal training certification through ACE, AFAA, NASM, ACSM, AEA, or another accredited organization is required.
- At least four years of experience as a fitness professional or fitness educator is required, including experience delivering fitness-related training, presentations, or workshops using a variety of modalities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal relationship and leadership skills.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, and similar Microsoft products.
- Strong proficiency with video-conferencing, Zoom, or other virtual training tools, plus video performance or production experience.
- Expertise in delivering on-camera fitness content.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Expert knowledge of health, wellness, certification processes, and the fitness industry.
- Ability to work independently.
- Critical-thinking ability.
- Position may require up to 20% travel.
- Some weekend, evening, and holiday work may be required.
Responsibilities
- Develop, administer, and deliver fitness instructor training and fitness programs for members.
- Lead and demonstrate a variety of fitness formats to fitness instructors, employees, clients, and members.
- Create fitness and wellness content, choreography, and training methods for the older adult population.
- Create, write, and develop new fitness training and certification programs and fitness class formats, and assist in updating existing programs.
- Administer, organize, and deliver training and educational programs related to network management and operations, both in person and virtually.
- Script, film, and produce fitness videos for online platforms including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and SilverSneakers.com.
- Demonstrate proper form and teaching skills for fitness formats in client meetings, industry trade shows, instructor training videos, online member classes, and other events.
- Provide customer service to stakeholders to improve the member and instructor experience.
- Support national initiatives such as conferences, industry trade shows, government events, and health plan events.
- Work with cross-functional teams to execute training needs and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
- Communicate quality-review feedback and participating-location compliance issues to provider network teams for resolution.
- Conduct quality-assurance evaluations and mentor fitness and exercise leaders.
- Perform other training duties as needed.

- Additional specialty certifications.
- Prior experience with learning management and instructor management systems.
