About the job

Requirements
  • At least 5 years owning complex enterprise B2B software products end-to-end, with accountability for outcomes; multi-persona, operational, or workflow-heavy domain experience is preferred.
  • A demonstrated habit of spending time with users in their actual work context and using those insights to drive product direction.
  • A track record of pre-sales engagement for enterprise pipelines, including shaping pilots, building conversion artefacts, and incorporating learning into the roadmap.
  • Proficiency with corporate process and process modelling, including mapping how a large organisation operates and designing products against those processes.
  • A clear point of view on agentic product design, including the transition from manual operation to supervised delegation and progressive institutional trust in automation.
  • Demonstrated product-led growth instincts within an enterprise motion, with accountability for onboarding, activation, expansion, and retention metrics.
  • Experience with API-first or integration-dependent products and strong intuition for cross-system friction.
  • Ability to build rapid prototypes using AI-assisted tools, LLM-assisted development, or code to test ideas.
  • Strong analytical ability to define metrics, build dashboards or views, interpret data, and act on findings independently.
  • Judgement in multi-stakeholder environments where insurer, repairer, and supplier interests compete and the paying customer differs from the daily user.
  • Working understanding of how US collision repair is funded and governed, including direct repair program and steering dynamics and alternative-parts cost pressure.
  • Right to work in the United States.
  • Hands-on experience shipping AI-assisted or agent-driven workflows in production with a human in the loop is a strong signal.
  • Experience in automotive, insurance, claims, or equivalent operational verticals involving parts, supply chain, or job management is a strong signal.
  • Experience building products with compliance, audit, or regulatory requirements, where the record of events is part of the product, is a strong signal.
  • Exposure to marketplace or network dynamics from the demand side is a strong signal.
  • Experience running one product across multiple geographies with different rules and incumbents is a strong signal.
  • Founder experience or experience as an early employee at a materially scaled startup is a strong signal.
  • Ability to describe a product or initiative the candidate killed or radically changed after personally believing in it is a strong signal.
  • Relationships across the US carrier, third-party administrator, or claims-technology ecosystem are a bonus.
  • Familiarity with the estimating and claims platforms insurers use is a bonus.
  • Experience selling or building against an entrenched incumbent is a bonus.
  • Experience building or operating products with meaningful agentic or automation components is a bonus.
Responsibilities
  • Define and evolve the global vision, strategy, and roadmap for insurer products in alignment with company direction and the wider platform.
  • Continuously assess and improve product-market fit across markets with different claims structures, parts policies, and competitive incumbents.
  • Decide what should be global versus local and defend that distinction when individual accounts request changes.
  • Own product, growth, and commercial metrics and use them to guide decisions; remain accountable for outcomes.
  • Maintain direct, regular contact with appraisers, claims handlers, and insurer decision-makers as a core weekly activity.
  • Observe appraisers working their queues, identify what they check and cannot see, and determine what would let them stop checking.
  • Map insurers' actual internal processes and design for where decisions and money sit.
  • Combine qualitative insight with quantitative usage and outcome data, reconciling the two when they disagree.
  • Partner with Sales on enterprise pipelines by shaping pilots, building conversion artefacts, and addressing challenging questions.
  • Design pilots that prove a mechanism, evaluate evidence rigorously, and feed pre-sales learning into the roadmap; communicate when a proposed direction is not supported.
  • Build and deploy rapid prototypes using AI-assisted development and LLM-assisted tooling, then test them with real appraisers before writing specifications.
  • Define metrics, build dashboards, query the data warehouse, and interpret data directly.
  • Distinguish causal claims from selection effects and design measurements that separate them.
  • Partner with engineering leads to balance discovery, delivery, and technical sustainability.
  • Align go-to-market, Customer Success, operations, and support across three regions around one product direction.
  • Communicate priorities and reasoning clearly and represent insurer realities in internal decisions with evidence.
  • Design and instrument feedback loops that learn from system behaviour as well as user behaviour.
  • Define success for agentic and AI-driven features through evaluations, edge-case handling, and observable outcomes.
  • Design how insurers move from checking every job to supervising exceptions while preserving a defensible audit trail.
  • Assess how insurer-side decisions affect repairer and supplier behaviour across the network.
  • Contribute to cross-product coherence, shared principles, and overall product craft.
  • Help define excellent product ownership as the team grows.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in multi-persona, operational, or workflow-heavy enterprise product domains.
  • Hands-on experience shipping AI-assisted or agent-driven workflows in production with a human in the loop.
  • Experience in automotive, insurance, claims, or operational verticals involving parts, supply chain, or job management.
  • Experience building products with compliance, audit, or regulatory weight.
  • Exposure to marketplace or network dynamics from the demand side.
  • Experience running one product across multiple geographies with different rules and incumbents.
  • Founder background or early-employee experience at a startup that scaled materially.
  • Relationships across the US carrier, third-party administrator, or claims-technology ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with insurers' estimating and claims platforms.
  • Experience selling or building against an entrenched incumbent.
  • Experience building or operating products with meaningful agentic or automation components.

Partly raises $71M to build AI that solves automotive parts matching challenges

Partly, a New Zealand-founded automotive AI company, has raised US$50 million in Series B funding led by DST Global Partners, valuing the company at US$500 million. The company has developed Interpreter, a multimodal AI model specifically trained to identify correct replacement parts for damaged vehicles. Unlike general-purpose AI models, Interpreter is built on five years of research using data from millions of vehicles and billions of parts. The company reports estimators using Interpreter achieved 98.8% parts-list accuracy compared with 92.1% using existing tools. The platform accepts text, photographs, video, and voice inputs to determine exact parts needed, accounting for variables such as trim level, production date, and regional differences. Partly is expanding into the United States, with headquarters in Austin, Texas, targeting America's US$100 billion collision-repair market. The company was founded in 2020 by Levi Fawcett, a former Rocket Lab engineer.

Partly raises $50M to double headcount and expand AI hiring in Australia

Partly has raised $50 million in Series B funding led by DST Global Partners, valuing the automotive software company at $500 million. Existing investor Blackbird Ventures also participated. The funding will support hiring in Australia, where Partly is adding software engineering, machine learning, and data science roles. The recruitment drive is part of an expansion expected to more than double global headcount this year. Founded in 2020, Partly develops an AI model called Interpreter for the automotive repair supply chain. The company has trained the model over five years using original equipment manufacturer catalogue data, repair data, and transaction data from New Zealand, Australia, the UK, and the Nordics. Partly targets a fragmented vehicle repair market where inaccurate parts data and manual procurement processes increase costs and delay repairs.

AI startup Partly moves global HQ to Austin with $50M raise, plans 400 hires by 2028

Partly, an AI automotive startup, has relocated its global headquarters from the United Kingdom to Austin and plans to more than double its workforce over the next two years. The move was funded by a $50 million raise backed by Yuri Milner's DST Global Partners, pushing Partly's valuation to $500 million. Founded in 2020, Partly has built an AI model to automate workflows for vehicle repairs, serving automakers like Toyota and Hyundai. CEO Levi Fawcett cited Austin's talent pool and affordability compared to the Bay Area as key factors in the decision. The company currently employs about 50 people in Austin and expects 200 workers by end of 2027, doubling that number the following year. Partly will move into permanent downtown offices later this year.
