Draftwise promotes Josh Sandman to Chief Sales Officer following rapid revenue growth.

Draftwise promotes Josh Sandman to Chief Sales Officer following rapid revenue growth. July 21, 2026 Josh Sandman Draftwise has promoted Josh Sandman to chief sales officer, elevating the veteran software executive as the legal intelligence platform accelerates global expansion and deepens its presence among leading law firms and corporate legal departments. Sandman, who joined Draftwise in 2024 to lead the company's global sales organization, will continue overseeing worldwide sales strategy and go-to-market operations as the company enters its next stage of growth. During his tenure, Draftwise said revenue has grown more than sixfold while the platform expanded adoption across many of the world's largest law firms and Fortune 500 legal teams. The promotion comes as legal technology providers increasingly compete to deliver AI-powered platforms that help firms and corporate legal departments improve drafting, contract review and negotiation workflows by leveraging proprietary institutional knowledge. "Josh has played a pivotal role in Draftwise's growth over the past two years," said James Ding, chief executive officer and co-founder of Draftwise. "He has built an exceptional sales organization with a culture we're proud of, earned the trust of our customers, and helped accelerate our growth at a defining moment for both Draftwise and the legal industry. I'm excited to see him lead our next chapter as Chief Sales Officer." Before joining Draftwise, Sandman spent several years at software company Pendo, where he helped scale the business from startup stage to more than $200 million in annual revenue. During that period, he supported the development of both direct and channel sales organizations while establishing the company's San Francisco office. He later joined Gravity Sketch, leading commercial teams across North America and Europe. There, he gained experience building international go-to-market organizations serving major automotive and footwear companies, strengthening his expertise in scaling enterprise software businesses across global markets. "I'm incredibly grateful to James, Emre, and Ozan for the opportunity and to the clients I have come to know and respect," Sandman said. "We've built an exceptional team and partnered with some of the world's leading law firms and legal departments. As Chief Sales Officer, I remain committed to our founders' vision: helping legal teams turn their firm's knowledge, unique market data, and hard-earned negotiations into their greatest competitive advantage." As chief sales officer, Sandman will continue leading Draftwise's commercial organization across North America and the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, with responsibility for expanding customer adoption and supporting the company's international growth strategy. Draftwise develops legal intelligence software that enables organizations to structure, connect and apply proprietary legal knowledge throughout the drafting, review and negotiation process. The platform is used by more than half of the Vault 10 law firms, numerous Am Law 100 firms and leading Fortune 500 legal departments, reflecting growing demand for AI-enabled tools that enhance legal productivity while preserving institutional expertise. The leadership promotion underscores Draftwise's focus on expanding its commercial organization as generative AI reshapes the legal technology market. With law firms and in-house legal teams increasingly investing in platforms that combine artificial intelligence with proprietary legal data, the company is positioning itself to capitalize on continued enterprise adoption across the global legal services industry.

Pendo and Udder: Helping HR tech actually get used.

Pendo and Udder: Helping HR tech actually get used. Published Jul 16, 2026 Udder and Pendo partner to deliver better results for the world of HR Selecting the right HR system is the easy part. Getting employees to actually use it - consistently, without a flood of support tickets - is where most implementations quietly fall apart. That's the problem Pendo.Io, Inc., Corporation is partnering with Udder to solve. Two different strengths, one shared goal Udder specializes in HR technology consulting - not just the selection and configuration side, but the hands-on work of process design, data, testing, and adoption. Their consultants bring deep functional experience across HRIS, Talent Acquisition, and Payroll and Finance platforms, built from real-world delivery. What Pendo brings to the table is visibility. Its platform shows, in granular detail, how people actually engage with the tools they've been given. Product analytics reveal exactly where users get stuck or drop off. In-app guidance, with tooltips, walkthroughs, and onboarding checklists, helps teams fix those friction points directly inside the application, without waiting on engineering or hoping someone reads the training doc. Together, Pendo and Udder give HR teams something they've rarely had: real-time insight into how a new system is landing with employees, and the tools to guide people through it in the moment, not months later, after the support tickets pile up. What this looks like in practice Picture a common scenario: a company rolls out a new HR self-service portal for leave requests. Without usage data, HR is flying blind - fielding tickets with no clear sense of where the friction actually is. With Pendo layered in, that changes fast. You can see that a large share of users are abandoning the process at a specific step, add a tooltip to clarify the sticking point, and measure whether completion rates improve. That feedback loop used to rely on guesswork or complaints that surfaced months after the fact. Now it happens in near real time - and shapes how future phases of the implementation get built. Why this partnership matters now HR leaders are under constant pressure to modernize their technology and prove measurable value across the employee lifecycle. But too many organizations treat adoption as an afterthought - something to address after go-live, when the budget is spent, and the consultants have moved on. That approach doesn't work. The gap between "system is live" and "system is delivering value" is exactly where this partnership lives. Ready to close the gap? Pendo.Io, Inc., Corporation is excited to partner with Udder to help those in the HR space deliver real solutions. Whether you're planning a new HRIS implementation or already live and wondering why adoption hasn't landed the way you expected, Udder and Pendo can help. Get to know Pendo. Pendo appoints Zain Lakhani as first chief AI officer to lead agentic AI product development. PR Newswire Today at 7:37am PDT RALEIGH, N.C., May 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - Pendo, the product intelligence company, today announced that Zain Lakhani has joined the company as its first chief AI officer. Lakhani will oversee AI engineering as Pendo scales its suite of agentic products. "The software development lifecycle is being totally disrupted," said Todd Olson, CEO and co-founder of Pendo. "Teams are shipping faster than ever with AI, and the tools we use to understand and improve software need to catch up. Zain is helping us rethink what observability looks like for AI builders - and rebuild the Pendo platform for companies making that shift." Lakhani will report to Chief Development Officer Saurabh Sodani and focus on accelerating the development and deployment of production-grade AI systems across architecture, product development, and partnerships. Lakhani joins Pendo from LightCI, an AI engineering firm he founded and scaled to 250 employees and $100 million in revenue in four years, partnering with companies including Google, Apple, OpenAI, and LangChain. Through LightCI's partnership with Pendo since November 2025, he contributed to the development of Agent Analytics, the first-of-its-kind observability solution for measuring the performance, usage, and business impact of AI agents; and Novus - the product agent that automatically detects and fixes usability issues as teams ship. "Product managers used to spend their days looking at dashboards. Now they're product engineers shipping code using agents - today's analytics tools can't keep up with the pace," said Lakhani. "Pendo has more usage data than anyone, and customers who feel this pain acutely and want to solve it together. That's a rare combination. I'm excited to bring everything I've learned building with AI to help Pendo solve this problem." The announcement builds on Pendo's recent AI momentum, including recognition as one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies for 2026; general availability of its MCP Server and inclusion in Claude's Connectors Directory and ChatGPT's app directory; the launch of the Pendo Agent on the Google Marketplace; and new partnerships with Fin, Planview and Atlassian to provide product context to their agents. Raleigh tech firm Pendo cuts 90 jobs in restructuring to capitalise on AI opportunity

Raleigh-based tech firm Pendo is cutting 90 jobs, representing 10% of its workforce, as part of a company restructuring. Thirty positions are based in the company's Raleigh headquarters on Hillsborough Street. CEO Todd Olson said the cuts are necessary to help the company "move faster" as it repositions itself around AI technology. He described the move as part of a six-month "refounding" process responding to dramatic changes in the technology landscape. The layoffs follow similar cuts at Cary-based Epic Games, which eliminated over 200 local positions two weeks ago. North Carolina State economist Michael Walden noted that AI is likely to have a net negative impact on employment, particularly in the tech sector. Pendo has not disclosed projected savings from the restructuring.
