Harvard and CodeSignal launch practical AI skills and workforce courses.

Harvard and CodeSignal launch practical AI skills and workforce courses. Table of Contents Get Career Advice Introduction. A new global partnership between CodeSignal and Harvard Business Impact is making waves in education. Their shared mission? To boost AI literacy and essential workforce skills for university students worldwide. With jobs evolving fast and technologies like artificial intelligence changing how Helpful Info For You work, this collaboration couldn't come at a better time. Learn AI Tools Today's students face a future where knowing the theory isn't enough. They need practical skills that match the demands of tomorrow's workplaces. This partnership is designed to help bridge that gap, offering hands-on learning experiences that prepare students not just to get a job - but to thrive in it. The story behind this exciting initiative originally came from a tech news update that highlights the power of blending AI with practical education. The problem - why skills training needs to Change. Many graduating students find themselves caught off guard. Despite spending years in university, they often miss out on real-world skills employers are eager for. This isn't just hearsay - the World Economic Forum's Future of Jobs Report 2025 highlights how the core skills needed in the workforce are shifting rapidly. Critical thinking, digital literacy, and adaptability, for example, are climbing the list. Schools, traditionally, have leaned heavily on teaching theory. It's important knowledge, of course, but without the chance to apply ideas in practice, students may struggle when facing real tasks at work. Think about it - reading about coding is very different from debugging a live program. The gap between classroom learning and actual job skills can be wide, leaving fresh graduates underprepared. This disconnect is exactly what CodeSignal and Harvard Business Impact aim to fix. Hands-On AI skills courses. One of the most exciting parts of this partnership is the practical AI courses offered on Harvard Business Impact's platform, powered by CodeSignal's technology. These aren't your typical online lectures. Instead, students dive right into working with AI tools and concepts in ways they can immediately use. Courses like "Prompt Engineering for Everyone" and "Effective Prompt Engineering with Chat AI" guide learners through crafting questions and commands that get the best results from AI systems. That may sound simple, but it's a skill on its own - kind of like learning how to ask the right questions for a research paper, but here the "research paper" is an AI model. What brings these lessons to life is CodeSignal's AI tutor, Cosmo. Cosmo isn't just a helper; it gives instant feedback, helping students improve their approaches in real time. This immediate input is a game changer - it's like having a personal tutor available 24/7, which can speed up learning and deepen understanding. Another important aspect of these courses is a focus on AI ethics. As students learn to use AI tools, they're encouraged to think about the impact these technologies have on privacy, fairness, and society. Teaching ethics alongside skills helps prepare learners to use AI responsibly, which is critical as these tools become more widespread. Building essential "durable" Skills for the workforce. Beyond technical knowledge, employers often stress the "soft skills" that don't fit neatly into textbooks. Skills like teamwork, honesty, and adaptability are vital - and they're not easy to learn just by reading. That's why this partnership also developed Essential Skills Suites tailored to nurture these durable traits. Courses such as "Navigating Change and Uncertainty", "Collaborating Productively", and "Thinking and Acting with Integrity" help students practice real-world scenarios. Imagine a class experience where you're not only told about integrity but given situations to ethically solve problems. This makes the learning stick and feel relevant. Get Certified Once again, Cosmo steps in to provide feedback during these lessons, guiding students on how they might improve their responses and behavior. This approach emphasizes learning by doing, which is often the best way to build habits that last into professional life. If you think about it, these skills are what keep workplaces running smoothly and companies growing. They're the kinds of qualities that separate good employees from great ones, especially as the workplace adapts to new challenges and technologies. Conclusion. The partnership between CodeSignal and Harvard Business Impact is a promising step toward modernizing education. By blending practical, hands-on courses with AI-powered feedback through Cosmo, they're providing students and teachers with tools that not only engage but prepare learners for the evolving job market. This approach offers clear benefits: students get more immediate, relevant practice; teachers receive support to guide their classes more effectively; and learning becomes accessible to universities around the globe, leveling the playing field. Looking ahead, the plan is to expand these offerings with even more courses tailored to learners at different stages of their journey. The hope is that this collaboration will finally help close the persistent gap between what students learn in school and what the workforce demands - especially in an AI-driven world. Get Career Advice This partnership isn't just about teaching AI or teamwork; it's about empowering a new generation to step confidently into the future. And that's a future worth investing in. Education that keeps pace with industry: ASM Group of Institutes marks a milestone year with national recognition and a growing Technical Campus.

Education that keeps pace with industry: ASM Group of Institutes marks a milestone year with national recognition and a growing Technical Campus. 0 4 minutes read Across management, commerce, IT and engineering education, ASM Group of Institutes' campuses continue to attract students through industry-linked programs, global exposure and consistent placement outcomes - a year that also saw the Group named Pune's Best Management Institute and the completion of its new AI-powered technical campus's first full year. Pune, (Maharashtra) [India]: Every admission season brings the same question to a student's mind: which institute will actually prepare them for the working world, and not just hand them a degree? For thousands of students in and around Pune, that answer has increasingly pointed to ASM Group of Institutes, a Pimpri-Chinchwad-based education group that has spent over four decades building campuses around a simple idea: classrooms should mirror the industries students are headed into. That approach was recently validated at a national level: ASM was named "Pune's Best Management Institute" at the Navbharat Education Excellence Awards 2025, recognition for institutions delivering future-ready education aligned with real industry needs - a fitting marker as the Group enters its 43rd year. Established in 1983 under the aegis of the Audyogik Shikshan Mandal, ASM Group of Institutes has grown from a single management institute into a diversified education group with 12+ institutes across campuses in Pune, spanning study levels from kindergarten through doctoral research. The group is affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University and holds AICTE approval, with several of its programs also carrying NAAC accreditation. Over four decades, ASM has built a track record that includes several recognitions as a top-ranked B-school in Pune, an alumni base of over 75,000 professionals across 60+ countries, working across MNCs, Indian enterprises and startups, and placement partnerships with 350+ recruiters spanning IT, financial services, consulting, manufacturing, BFSI, analytics, FMCG, healthcare and emerging digital domains. At the heart of the Group is ASM's Institute of Business Management and Research (IBMR), the flagship institute from which ASM's journey began in 1983. IBMR offers AICTE-approved PGDM programs and has been among the first institutes nationally to introduce Artificial Intelligence as a second PGDM specialization, giving students the option to pair core management disciplines with AI-driven decision-making, analytics, automation and digital intelligence - a marker of ASM's early and sustained embrace of AI in management education, since extended across the Group's other institutes as well. ASM's Institute of International Business and Research (IIBR) concentrates on AICTE-approved PGDM programs across marketing, finance, human resources, pharma management and real estate marketing, with curriculum that draws on AI-linked coursework and industry certifications to give management aspirants a head start before they graduate. The institute offers paid internships, industry certifications,a focus on global business education, applied research and industry-aligned postgraduate programs. ASM's Institute of Commerce, Science and Information Technology (CSIT), affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University, is among top colleges in PCMC, and is built for students choosing commerce, science and technology streams, offering programs from BBA and B.Com to B.Sc. degrees in AI & ML, cyber security and data science, giving undergraduates a foundation that can pivot in several technical or business directions later. ASM's Institute of Professional Studies (IPS), a dedicated MBA campus offering a full-time, two-year program affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University and approved by AICTE, where faculty drawn from both industry and academia, paired with an alumni network spread across more than a thousand global careers, anchor its reputation among Pune's management colleges. The Group's newest addition, ASM's NextGen Technical Campus in Talegaon, Pune, spread across a 15-acre, AI-powered campus is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University and approved by AICTE, offers B.E. programs in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, and Electronics & Computer Engineering, alongside BCA and MCA programs - built around smart classrooms, advanced labs and a digital-first learning environment designed for Industry 4.0. More details are available at asmnext.edu.in. What ties the campuses together is a shared emphasis on placement support, live industry projects, international academic tie-ups and, more recently, AI-integrated learning modules rolled out across programs. ASM has partnered with globally respected organisations including Nasscom, Harvard Business Publishing, Microsoft, AWS Educate, Automation Anywhere, SAP& more, partnerships that actively shape curriculum design, certifications and experiential learning rather than serving as brochure logos. The group counts alumni in leadership roles across sectors including manufacturing, IT, finance, banking, agritech, and healthcare, and continues to work with top recruiters and academic partners in India and abroad, including recently signed MoUs with South Asian universities for student exchange and joint research. Speaking on the group's continued appeal among students, Dr Sandeep Pachpande, Chairman, ASM Group of Institutes, said: "Every institute we have built exists for a reason. A student headed into management, one building a career in commerce and technology, and one training to be an engineer all need a different kind of preparation - that's why we've never tried to fit everyone into one classroom. Education has to evolve at the pace of the world outside the campus, and staying close to that pace is what keeps us building institute by institute, rather than settling for one size that fits none. Forty-three years on, no ranking means as much to me as hearing an alumnus say they walked into their first job already ready for it." For students still shortlisting colleges this admission cycle, ASM Group of Institutes is positioning its campuses around a straightforward pitch: pick a track - management, commerce and technology, engineering, or a dedicated MBA - and get an education designed specifically for it, backed by a group that has been refining this model across Maharashtra since 1983. Looking further ahead, the Group has also begun laying the groundwork for ASM NextGen University, envisioned as a multidisciplinary university bringing management, technology, research, innovation and entrepreneurship together under one future-ready academic ecosystem. "Our vision is long-term," says Dr Pachpande. "ASM NextGen University will be built on the same values that have guided us for decades - quality, relevance and responsibility - but reimagined for the future." About ASM Group of Institutes ASM Group of Institutes is a Pune-based education group established in 1983, comprising specialised institutes including ASM's Institute of Business Management and Research (IBMR), ASM's Institute of International Business and Research (IIBR), ASM's Institute of Commerce, Science and Information Technology (CSIT), ASM's Institute of Professional Studies (IPS), and ASM's NextGen Technical Campus, Talegaon. The group offers AICTE-approved and Savitribai Phule Pune University-affiliated programs across management, commerce, science, information technology and engineering, with an alumni network of over 75,000 professionals globally and placement partnerships with 350+ recruiters.
