Stable is a subscription-based document management platform that helps small and medium-sized enterprises and startups handle digitized documents. It scans physical documents, uses OCR to convert them into searchable text, and applies smart tagging to organize files. Documents can be securely stored and encrypted, with options to forward, shred, or destroy physical copies, creating a complete digital document lifecycle. The product targets remote and hybrid work setups, emphasizing simplicity, security, and ease of use. Stable differentiates itself by focusing on SMEs and startups with a straightforward, secure workflow—scanning to destruction—designed for ease of use and scalable data security. The company’s goal is to provide a secure, efficient, and user-friendly way to manage digitized documents, enabling teams to access and manage information remotely while protecting sensitive data.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Stable shipped June 2026 search, addresses page, and May 2026 change-of-address workflows.
  • Latka reported $8 million revenue in 2025, 70 employees, and zero funding.
  • Bootstrapped ownership lets Stable reinvest cash without investor dilution or fundraising distraction.

What critics are saying

  • Pricing starts at $49 monthly, while iPostal1 and Anytime Mailbox undercut it materially.
  • USPS form handling and mail-scanning accuracy create operational exposure; April 2026 rescans prove fragility.
  • If competitors bundle addresses, receptionist, and phone services, Stable’s standalone mailbox product commoditizes.

What makes Stable unique

  • Stable’s June 2026 API manages companies, registered agents, teams, and mail assignments.
  • Stable’s mailroom search now indexes every page, improving retrieval over basic virtual mailboxes.
  • Stable’s January 2026 registered-agent coverage spans all 50 states, broadening compliance utility.
