Oura welcomes Sanjay Chandra as Chief Information Officer and Han Chiu as SVP of AI and Software Engineering.

Oura welcomes Sanjay Chandra as Chief Information Officer and Han Chiu as SVP of AI and Software Engineering. Oura is pleased to welcome Sanjay Chandra as Chief Information Officer, reporting to Sean Brecker, and Han Chiu as Senior Vice President of AI and Software Engineering, reporting to Michael Chapp. Together, they bring deep experience scaling enterprise technology, software organizations, health technology, and AI-powered product development during periods of significant growth. "Oura has spent more than a decade earning our members' trust with their health data and insights," said Tom Hale. "Scaling that trust to serve millions of people worldwide is a different challenge, one that demands exceptional leaders and durable foundations. I'm proud to welcome Sanjay and Han to Oura. Their experience will help us scale the systems, software, and AI capabilities to grow responsibly while delivering on our mission to help people live longer, healthier lives." Scaling Oura's strong foundation. These appointments reflect an important moment for Oura. As the company continues its evolution from a wearable company into a longitudinal health platform, it is investing in the leadership and infrastructure required to support that ambition, not only through continued innovation, but through privacy, security, responsible AI, interoperability, and enterprise-grade systems. Oura's growth is creating new opportunities to help people understand and improve their health, and a greater responsibility to protect the data and trust at the center of that experience. Data is the foundation of AI at Oura, and the company's governance practices are scaling alongside its product ambitions. Sanjay Chandra: Scaling systems, security, and trust. As Oura's first Chief Information Officer, Sanjay will oversee the enterprise technology foundation required for a health technology platform. His remit includes enterprise AI technology strategy, business-systems transformation, and the systems, infrastructure, and governance needed to help Oura scale responsibly. Sanjay most recently served as Vice President and Global Head of Information Technology at Lucid Motors, where he oversaw go-to-market technologies, enterprise systems, factory systems technologies, global infrastructure, data, and cybersecurity. Before Lucid, he was Chief Information Officer and Head of Cloud Operations at TiVo (acquired by Xperi), responsible for customer success, cloud operations, infrastructure, eCommerce, and corporate IT. Earlier in his career, he held technology leadership roles at Workday and PayPal. Across these roles, Sanjay has helped fast-growing companies scale their technology organizations, operating models, and governance to match their ambitions. At Oura, he will focus on ensuring the company's platform and continued evolution of AI is built on a foundation of security, consent, privacy, and trust. "Technology should be invisible when it works well, but it shapes every part of the customer experience," said Sanjay Chandra, chief information officer at Oura. "In health technology, it must also earn confidence at every step. Oura has an extraordinary opportunity to define what a trusted, AI-enabled health platform can be. I'm excited to help scale the secure, resilient systems and governance that allow Oura to scale responsibly and deliver on its mission for millions of members." Han Chiu: advancing software and AI at Oura. As Senior Vice President of AI and Software Engineering, Han will lead Oura's global software engineering organization across mobile, backend, platform, and AI engineering, while owning the company's software and AI strategy. Han joins Oura from Click Therapeutics, where he served as Chief Technology Officer and led engineering, data, platform, product, and design for FDA-regulated, prescription digital therapeutics operating under HIPAA. During his tenure, Click advanced its AI transformation and delivered FDA-cleared digital treatments validated through randomized controlled trials. Before Click, Han spent two decades leading engineering organizations at American Express, Shutterstock, Namely, and WeWork. Han's experience spans health and consumer technology, as well as the organizational and technical changes required to become more AI-native. At Oura, he will help strengthen engineering execution, evolve how the company architects and scales its platforms, and use AI not only to improve how products are built, but to expand what Oura can create for its members. "AI is expanding both what we can create and how quickly we can bring it to members," said Han Chiu, senior vice president of AI and SWE at Oura. "The opportunity at Oura is to pair that pace with the rigor required to build technology people can trust with their health. Oura has assembled a world-class team and a strong foundation; I'm excited to help turn its ambition into products and experiences that make a meaningful difference in people's lives." Investing in the infrastructure that trust requires. Healthcare is an infrastructure business. As Oura expands across products, channels, geographies, and partnerships, the systems behind the member experience must be reliable, secure, interoperable, and built to support the standards of a health technology platform. That means treating privacy and security as product foundations, evolving governance that enables innovation rather than slows it down, and ensuring that Oura's software, data, and AI capabilities can scale in a way that remains worthy of the trust members place in the company. Sanjay and Han's appointments are part of Oura's broader investment in the leadership required for its next chapter. The company is building not only for continued consumer adoption, but for long-term credibility with members, providers, partners, and institutions. The ambition is simple: to create technology that helps more people live longer, healthier lives, and to scale the systems and safeguards that make that future possible.

Lucid unveils its 2027 Air EV lineup with a new Stealth package.

Lucid unveils its 2027 Air EV lineup with a new Stealth package. Lucid unveiled its 2027 Air lineup, streamlining the options across its electric sedan range and adding a new Stealth & Sound Package for the entry-level Air Pure. The Air Grand Touring keeps its title as the longest-range EV on sale at up to 512 miles, and pricing holds flat across all four trims for the new model year. What's new for 2027. The biggest change is in the configurator, not the car. Lucid says the 2027 pricing guides "reflect a more focused set of available options for Air Pure," trimming the entry model's long à la carte menu down to a tighter set of choices. The centerpiece is a new Stealth & Sound Package for the Air Pure, priced at $6,250, that bundles the most popular options into a single configuration. Buyers who add it can pick either 19-inch Aero Range Stealth or 20-inch Aero Lite Stealth wheels, plus a paint finish in Infinite Black Metallic, Stellar White Metallic, or Quantum Grey Metallic. Discover more Electric Bikes Tesla Autopilot Features Advertisement - scroll for more content The Touring, Grand Touring, and Sapphire carry into 2027 largely as they were. The whole lineup is configurable now through Lucid's Design Yours tool. Prices hold flat across the lineup. Every trim keeps its 2026 starting price for the new model year, in both the US and Canada. That's worth a note in 2026: tariffs on imported vehicles and parts have pushed costs up across the industry, and the $7,500 federal EV tax credit expired at the end of September 2025, so effective EV prices have been climbing. Lucid left the Air's sticker alone. Here's the lineup, 2026 versus 2027: It helps that the Air is selling well at the top of its class. We reported last year that the Air became the best-selling luxury EV sedan in the US, passing Tesla's Model S. And the range crown isn't just an EPA number - the Air won Norway's brutal EV winter test earlier this year, a real-world result that's harder to argue with than a lab figure. However, the focus for Lucid has been on the Gravity this year and it is showing in this lack of change with the 2027 model year. If you're shopping for an EV like the Lucid Air, powering it at home with rooftop solar is the closest thing there is to free miles. With electricity rates up almost 10% last year and expected to keep climbing, going solar is one of the best ways to protect yourself against rising costs. And with lease and PPA options, you can do it with zero upfront cost and start saving immediately. If you want to find the best deal, check out EnergySage. It's a free service with hundreds of pre-vetted installers competing for your business, so you save 20 to 30% compared to going it alone. No sales calls until you pick an installer. Lucid Gravity: new trim logic with a €94,900 price tag.

Lucid Gravity: new trim logic with a €94,900 price tag. Lucid has introduced new equipment variants for its electric SUV Gravity in Europe and reduced its base price by €5,000 - to €94,900, in the case of the Gravity Touring. Four equipment lines are now available, with two motorisations still on offer. By Cora Werwitzke 18.08.2026 - 16:00 Until now, Lucid has offered only two battery-electric SUV variants in Germany - the Gravity Touring and Gravity Grand Touring - which differ primarily in terms of powertrain and battery. Both could be customised with additional extras in the configurator, often pushing the price above the base figures of €99,900 and €116,900, respectively. Now, the US manufacturer is revising its trim logic and introducing a new trim level called Gravity Touring Plus, positioned between the two existing variants. Additionally, Lucid is adding a new top-tier trim, the Gravity Grand Touring Ultimate. According to a press release shared with electrive, this change aims to "offer European customers a simpler selection process, enhanced standard equipment with technology and comfort features, and an attractive entry price for the brand." The focus is on a streamlined structure and a new starting price of €94,900. At the same time, Lucid is upgrading its standard equipment across all variants: the 'DreamDrive' Premium package, which includes high-beam assist, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and 3D surround-view cameras, is now included as standard. From the Gravity Touring Plus upwards, a seven-seat configuration and the 'Comfort & Convenience Package' are also standard. The new trim variants are available for order immediately. The first customer deliveries in Europe are expected in autumn 2026. Below is an overview of the four versions: * Lucid Gravity Touring: As the entry-level model in the European Gravity line-up, this variant offers 418 kW of power, an 89 kWh battery pack, and a combined WLTP range of up to 545 km. The starting price in Germany is €94,900. Leasing options start at €949 per month. * Lucid Gravity Touring Plus: This variant builds on the Gravity Touring's powertrain and equipment by adding the seven-seat configuration and the aforementioned Comfort & Convenience Package. The starting price in Germany is €99,900. Leasing options start at €999 per month. * Lucid Gravity Grand Touring: This variant features a 617 kW powertrain combined with a 123 kWh battery. The WLTP range is up to 739 km. The equipment includes premium seats with a massage function and higher DC fast-charging capability. The starting price in Germany is €119,900. Leasing options start at €1,199 per month. * Lucid Gravity Grand Touring Ultimate: At the top of the range, the Lucid Gravity Grand Touring Ultimate features the same powertrain as above, along with standard extras such as the DreamDrive 2 Pro package, the Dynamic Handling Package, a 22-speaker sound system, and a premium leather interior. The starting price in Germany is €147,500. Leasing options start at €1,475 per month. The Lucid Gravity is a full-size SUV measuring 5.04 metres in length, 2.20 m in width, and 1.66 m in height, with a wheelbase of 3.04 m. As mentioned, it offers either standard or optional three-row seating for seven passengers, depending on the version. Technically, the Lucid Gravity is based on the battery-electric Lucid Air saloon and is claimed by the manufacturer to deliver 'sports car performance'. This is reflected in its 617 kW powertrain and a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of just 3.6 seconds. To enable exceptionally high charging speeds, the vehicle also features 926-volt architecture. This allows the variants with the larger battery to recharge up to 400 km of range in just 14 minutes, while maintaining a relatively stable charging curve. However, Lucid does not specify the time required to charge from 10 to 80 per cent, a metric often cited by other manufacturers. "The updated Lucid Gravity model range provides European customers with even clearer guidance when choosing the SUV that best suits their needs," says Lawrence Hamilton, President of Europe at Lucid. "With even more technology, comfort, and convenience features included as standard across the entire model range, the Lucid Gravity offers an even stronger combination of space, performance, efficiency, and advanced technology." In the USA, Lucid is simultaneously introducing a new performance version of the Gravity, the Lucid Gravity GT-S. This variant delivers around 787 kW of power and is available for order immediately - though exclusively in the USA. The price starts at US$125,900. It remains unclear whether the GT-S version will be introduced in Europe. Lucid unveils 1,080-horsepower Gravity GT-S SUV as Q2 deliveries rise 19%

Lucid Group has unveiled a 1,080-horsepower version of its Gravity SUV, targeting the high-performance luxury market. The Gravity GT-S starts at $127,750 and accelerates from zero to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds whilst maintaining three-row seating. Order books are now open, though delivery dates remain unspecified. The launch comes as Lucid attempts to expand beyond the luxury sedan market, having begun commercial Gravity production in late 2024. Lucid delivered 3,953 vehicles in the second quarter, up 19% year over year, with revenue climbing 56% to $405 million. The company ended Q2 with $3 billion in total liquidity and expects to maintain operations well into 2027. The GT-S positions Lucid against established luxury competitors like Cadillac's Escalade in the premium SUV segment.
