• Graduate or senior undergraduate students with a background in computer science, international relations, political science, or a related field – such as cybersecurity, data science, media studies, or public policy—especially as it relates to national security, social media, and emerging technologies like AI and LLMs.
• Extremely strong research, writing, and critical thinking skills (a writing sample is required).
• Demonstrated interest in global affairs, digital media, and technology’s role in shaping the modern world.
• Prior internship or work experience demonstrating reliability, initiative, and the ability to manage tasks independently, quickly learn new topics, and contribute in team settings.
• Familiarity with current events, social media platforms, and mobile or web-based technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Proficiency in a foreign language (written and spoken), especially Arabic, Chinese, Russian, Farsi, Korean, Dari, and Pashto.
• Experience or coursework related to AI, machine learning, or data analysis is a strong plus.
