Requirements
  • At least 7 years of software development experience with a demonstrated track record at Senior or Staff level, based on a solid software engineering foundation in backend, platform, or full-stack development.
  • Practical experience designing, building, and operating production LLM-based systems, including retrieval-augmented generation, tool calling, Model Context Protocol, orchestration, and evaluations.
  • Strong experience with multi-agent orchestration.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership through architecture ownership, technical lead responsibilities, request for comments, design reviews, or setting standards for a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to advance technical work outside the person's own area of responsibility through persuasion and credibility.
  • Evidence of developing people by coaching or mentoring engineers toward stronger engineering performance.
  • Explicit commitment to disciplinary people management, including leading three Engineers.

Flip raises $25M to expand AI platform for frontline workers.

Flip raises $25M to expand AI platform for frontline workers. Flip has raised new funding to expand its AI-powered platform for frontline workers, combining digital identity, AI agents and custom applications to improve access to workplace tools and systems. Employee experience platform Flip has raised $25 million in new funding to expand its AI-powered technology for frontline workers. Existing investors Notion Capital and HV Capital increased their stakes in the company, while L-Bank, the development bank of Baden-Württemberg, joined as a new investor alongside a group of business angels and institutional investors. Founded in 2018, Flip develops a digital employee platform for workers in sectors such as manufacturing, retail, logistics, care and hospitality, where employees often do not have regular access to corporate computers or email accounts. The platform brings together internal communication, workflows, digital identity and AI tools in a single application. The company is addressing a gap in workplace AI adoption between office-based and frontline employees. While AI tools have become increasingly integrated into knowledge work, deskless workers often lack access to the digital systems and infrastructure needed to use similar technologies. AI has long been part of everyday life in the office but, on the assembly line, in stores, or in care settings, it has barely arrived, said Benedikt Brand, co-founder and CEO of Flip. He attributed the gap partly to frontline organisations lacking the digital identity and infrastructure required to integrate AI into day-to-day operations. At the centre of Flip's expansion is Fusion, a product that generates custom applications for frontline teams based on specific stores, teams or operational processes. The technology is intended to reduce the need for companies to purchase and customise separate software applications for individual frontline use cases. Flip has also introduced Frontline Identity, which allows employees to access workplace systems without requiring a corporate email address. The capability is designed to simplify digital access for deskless employees and provide an identity layer through which they can use company applications and AI tools. Together, these capabilities form part of Flip's approach to providing the infrastructure for AI adoption among frontline employees, combining digital identity, AI agents and custom applications within its platform. The new funding will be used to further develop this infrastructure and support the expansion of Flip's platform for frontline workers. Follow the developments in the technology world. Flip unveils tools to bridge frontline and AI systems.

Flip unveils tools to bridge frontline and AI systems. Flip has launched new tools to bridge the gap between frontline workers and enterprise systems. At the Forward 2026 conference, Flip unveiled the Frontline Identity and Flip Fusion products. These tools aim to enable frontline employees to access enterprise systems and workflows securely while leveraging artificial intelligence (AI). Globally, businesses are heavily investing in AI to boost productivity and efficiency. However, many of these initiatives focus primarily on office-based staff, leaving frontline workers behind. Flip's new products address this disconnect by making enterprise resources accessible through a single mobile experience. This integration could unlock more value from digital transformation efforts. Frontline Identity is a digital identity platform providing employees with digital credentials. It offers modern authentication methods like passkeys, QR codes, and invite codes, making access more secure and user-friendly. Such adaptations are essential as traditional office-centric authentication doesn't always suit frontline environments. Meanwhile, Flip Fusion empowers organizations to create applications using natural language prompts. This tool supports HR, operations, and business teams in innovating without needing technical expertise. It facilitates the creation of apps for onboarding, inspections, and task management. The innovation aims to reduce the complexity and time associated with traditional development methods. Additionally, Flip introduced AI Flow Builder and AI Agent Gateway. These tools aim to streamline workflows and enable AI-powered assistants to integrate with existing enterprise systems. By doing this, employees can access information and complete tasks more effortlessly. Addressing barriers in AI adoption among frontline workers remains a challenge. While AI tools are prevalent in offices, frontline employees are often excluded from integration strategies. Given that these employees make up a considerable portion of the global workforce, not connecting them can result in missed operational gains and efficiency. Many organizations face difficulties extending AI capabilities to significant areas, hindering potential operational impacts. For AI tools to succeed, access to systems and information is crucial. Secure identity management and application connectivity are fundamental. The industry focus is broadening from AI model development to ensuring employees can effectively interact with AI. Without proper access control and workflow synergy, AI risks remaining siloed in specific departments, limiting broader benefits. Giacomo Kenner, Co-founder of Flip, stated: "Yesterday, we took a massive leap forward. We launched four new products designed to fundamentally change how frontline organizations operate." He added, "The frontline workforce has been underserved for too long. Not anymore." As companies seek significant returns on AI investments, technologies that improve access, streamline workflows, and secure AI connectivity could play a pivotal role in achieving operational results.
