Requirements
  • A Master's Degree in Speech Pathology is required.
  • An active North Carolina Speech Language Pathology License is required.
  • An ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence is required.
  • Experience with video fluoroscopic studies is required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team is required.
  • Flexibility to travel and float between different sites as needed is required.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct diagnostic evaluations for speech, cognition, and swallowing disorders in adult and geriatric patients.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding speech and swallowing disorders.
  • Float to acute care and outpatient settings as needed.
  • Travel to Hoke, Montgomery, and Richmond Counties as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with FEES and tracheostomies/PMV is preferred.
