What believers are saying

  • July 21, 2026 weatherization work upgraded 103 Puerto Rico homes, exceeding a 100-home goal.
  • January 29, 2026 Sembrando Oportunidades forum expanded IBTS’s Puerto Rico economic-development footprint.
  • Oklahoma Municipal League and IBTS still market pre-event disaster contracts to members in 2026.

What critics are saying

  • IBTS depends on federal disaster and weatherization budgets, tying revenue to procurement cycles.
  • Puerto Rico concentration exposes IBTS to single-region contract losses and hurricane-driven execution failures.
  • Loss of NACo and municipal pre-event renewals would gut IBTS’s disaster-services pipeline.

What makes IBTS unique

  • IBTS pairs disaster recovery, building department services, and resilience planning for governments nationwide.
  • Its NACo pre-event contracts speed recovery by preauthorizing services before disasters strike.
  • In March 2026, IBTS showcased HUD and FEMA-funded resilience work in Puerto Rico.
