Global Solutions Architect, Cloud

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES • TECHNICAL DIRECTOR • INDIVIDUAL CONTRIBUTOR, APAC

About the role

Rubrik Professional Services is hiring a Global Solutions Architect to serve as our most senior technical authority for public cloud. This is a global, individual-contributor role at Technical Director level. You will set the architectural direction for how Rubrik is designed, deployed, and operated in the world’s most demanding cloud environments — and you will carry that direction personally into our most strategic customer engagements.

You will be deployed where technical risk is highest: flagship accounts, first-of-a-kind architectures, and the engagements whose outcome sets the pattern everyone else follows. Between those engagements, you will convert what you learned into the reference architectures, service offerings, and enablement that raise the capability of every architect and consultant in the field. Your impact is measured by the quality of the practice you leave behind, not the hours you personally bill.

We are looking for depth in public cloud architecture first. Deep Rubrik product expertise is expected to be built on the job. If you have architected large-scale data, storage, or security platforms across AWS, Azure, and GCP, and you can learn a new platform quickly and completely, we want to talk.

What you will do

Set technical direction

Own the global cloud architecture standard for Rubrik Professional Services — reference architectures, design patterns, guardrails, and documented anti-patterns
Act as the final technical escalation point for cloud architecture decisions on strategic engagements worldwide
Define the technical shape of our cloud service offerings: what we sell, how it is scoped, and what good delivery looks like
Establish Rubrik PS’s position on emerging cloud capabilities and translate them into deployment guidance before customers ask

Lead the hardest engagements

Own architecture and design on the most complex, highest-visibility customer engagements globally — multi-region, multi-cloud, and multi-regulator estates

Serve as trusted advisor to customer CIO, CTO, Chief Architect, and CISO stakeholders, and defend design decisions in front of customer architecture review boards

Partner with Sales and Pre-Sales on strategic pursuits: technical validation, level of effort, and honest risk assessment on the deals we cannot afford to get wrong
Lead briefings and multi-day design workshops on site and remotely

Scale yourself through the practice

Build the intellectual property that multiplies your reach — reference architectures, deployment automation, design templates, decision trees, and delivery accelerators
Mentor and technically develop Solutions Architects and senior consultants across all theatres; raise the ceiling of the practice, not just your own output
Define technical competency standards and enablement for cloud within Professional Services, and help set the hiring bar through technical interviews
Represent Rubrik Professional Services externally at conferences, customer advisory boards, and in published technical material

Influence the product

Act as the field’s most credible voice into Product Management and Engineering, backed by evidence from our largest deployments
Shape roadmap priorities, supportability, and cloud-native feature direction
Partner with Support and Customer Success on systemic technical issues before they become patterns
Work with PS Operations and leadership to turn field learning into better scoping models, estimates, and delivery methodology

What you bring

15+ years overall experience, including 8+ years as a hands-on cloud architect at enterprise scale
Demonstrated ownership of architecture for multi-region, multi-account or multi-subscription cloud estates, in a large enterprise or a consulting / professional services organization
Expert-level AWS and Azure; GCP strongly preferred. Genuine depth across compute, storage, networking, identity, and encryption / key management
Deep understanding of enterprise data protection and cyber resilience — RTO and RPO modelling, immutability, backup and recovery design, isolated and air-gapped recovery
Working fluency in cloud security and compliance frameworks and how they constrain design in regulated industries
Strong automation background — infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep), scripting (Python, PowerShell), API-first integration, and CI/CD (Strong Automation Background)
A track record of influence without authority across a global, matrixed organization and multiple time zones
Executive-grade communication — credible with a customer’s CIO and their principal engineer on the same day
Evidence of building reusable technical IP, not only delivering successful projects
The ability to learn a complex new platform to expert depth, quickly. Prior Rubrik experience is not required
Occasional travel

Nice to have

Kubernetes and containerized workload architecture; cloud-native and managed database platforms
SaaS data protection experience (Microsoft 365, Salesforce, and similar)
Prior Principal, Distinguished, or Technical Director title within a vendor professional services organization or a major systems integrator
Professional or expert-level certifications (AWS Solutions Architect – Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent)
An established public technical presence — talks, writing, open source, or community leadership

What success looks like

First 90 days: Rubrik platform depth established, current cloud reference architectures assessed, and the top three gaps in our cloud delivery capability identified and evidenced
First 6 months: Leading architecture on at least two strategic global engagements; first published reference architecture or accelerator in field use
First 12 months: Recognized as the escalation point for cloud architecture across all theatres; measurable improvement in scoping accuracy and delivery consistency on cloud engagements; a named group of architects visibly stronger for your mentorship

Rubrik expands Project Hourglass with Rubrik Code Guardian, powered by Claude.

Rubrik expands Project Hourglass with Rubrik Code Guardian, powered by Claude. * 6 hrs ago Rubrik GSI Summit - October 9, 2026 - Rubrik (NYSE: RBRK), the Security and AI Operations Company, today announced the expansion of Project Hourglass, broadening its partner alliance to deliver Rubrik Code Guardian alongside Rubrik Agent Cloud. Rubrik welcomed additional partners AHEAD, Trace3, and WWT into Project Hourglass, joining Cognizant, Deloitte, LTM, HCLTech, NTT DATA, and Wipro. According to Rubrik Zero Labs, 86% of cybersecurity and IT leaders anticipate that the proliferation of AI agents will outpace their organization's security guardrails within the next year. Rubrik Code Guardian aims to provide partners the capability to proactively red-team client code within air-gapped environments, prioritize realistic attack chains, and maintain instant codebase recovery. "Engineering teams are turning to AI models to accelerate software delivery, but speed cannot compromise security or architectural integrity," said Alok Agrawal, Chief Solutions Officer, Rubrik. "By incorporating Rubrik Code Guardian into Project Hourglass, we are ensuring engineering teams are able to conduct red-team analysis, prioritize business impact and reduce risk." Securing Customer Source Code with Rubrik Code Guardian Rubrik Code Guardian harnesses Anthropic's Claude Mythos 5 through a specialized security harness to evaluate code repositories against sophisticated, multi-step threat scenarios. Rather than operating on live production environments, the system tests a cloned, air-gapped copy of customer repositories. Key capabilities Rubrik aims to deliver to Project Hourglass partners include: * Isolated Red-Team Analysis: Claude Mythos 5 operates inside Rubrik's security harness. * Attack Chain Discovery: The engine will reason across files, services, identity roles, and cloud perimeters to uncover chained vulnerabilities that conventional static tools miss. * Business Impact Prioritization: To eliminate alert fatigue, findings are verified for actual exploitability and scored by business criticality. Equipping Its Partners with Agentic Cyber Resilience Project Hourglass originally launched to operationalize Rubrik Agent Cloud for Anthropic's Claude Code, introducing runtime behavioral guardrails, prompt context protection, and Agent Rewind to reverse unintended actions. By adding Rubrik Code Guardian, Project Hourglass offers an end-to-end security architecture. The program provides participating partners with joint go-to-market resources, dedicated technical certification tracks, and direct engineering access to accelerate client deployments. "Customers want to adopt AI coding without inheriting AI-speed attack surface. By expanding our Rubrik partnership through Project Hourglass and Code Guardian, AHEAD helps clients close that gap, from architecture through deployment. Code is attacked, tested, and validated in a safe environment before it ships, so teams move faster with confidence, and Rubrik's recovery capabilities remain in place as the safety net." - Steven Sorensen, Specialty Solutions Engineer, Cyber Resiliency at AHEAD "Our clients are moving quickly to adopt agentic AI, and securing those environments requires a new approach to resilience. At Trace3, we are not only using Rubrik Agent Cloud internally to help protect our own agentic AI initiatives, but we are also bringing that hands-on experience to our clients. Trace3's Resiliency Practice and AI risk and Governance practice is ready to help clients secure, observe, protect, and recover their agentic AI environments as they scale. That perspective and experience, as both a user and a partner of Rubrik, gives us a unique understanding of what it takes to build more secure and resilient agentic AI environments." - Sandy Salty, Chief Marketing Officer at Trace3 "WWT uses our Advanced Technology Center to test and validate innovative security solutions, making isolated threat testing a core part of our DNA. Integrating Rubrik Code Guardian through Project Hourglass perfectly complements this approach. The end-to-end security architecture ensures our clients achieve business resilience as they deploy new AI agents." - Chris Konrad, Vice President of Global Cyber at World Wide Technology Rubrik Code Guardian is currently in private preview and accepting select design partners. How Rubrik AI is revolutionizing cyber recovery for the agentic era.

How Rubrik AI is revolutionizing cyber recovery for the agentic era. Rubrik was recently recognized as an AI-Powered Enterprise Agent Solution of the Year by the Tech Ascension Awards for its work advancing autonomous security and cyber recovery. Tech Ascension Awards sat down with Anneka Gupta, Chief Product Officer at Rubrik, to discuss how Rubrik AI fits into the company's broader platform, the challenges it is designed to solve, and how agentic AI could reshape enterprise security and recovery. Rubrik is historically known for its backup and recovery products and services across data center, cloud and SaaS applications. What is Rubrik AI and how does it complement the existing product lines you offer? Rubrik AI transforms the Rubrik platform with an agentic-first experience designed to operate and defend at rapid speed. As an autonomous agent itself, Rubrik AI adapts to each enterprise's unique context and security threats, reasoning and acting across Rubrik Security Cloud (RSC) and Rubrik Agent Cloud (RAC). Instead of requiring complex manual scripting, customers simply define desired business outcomes, and Rubrik AI autonomously executes, reasons, and recovers across environments. At the core of Rubrik AI's patent-pending design are three key pillars: * Agentic Mode: Acts as a single agent spanning RSC and RAC, reasoning simultaneously over enterprise data, identity configurations, and third-party deployed AI agents. * Agentic Guardrails: Native RBAC controls ensure every autonomous action in your environment is fully auditable and attributable. * Agent Communications: Extends Rubrik AI's core intelligence to autonomous third-party agents, allowing them to exchange context and execute orchestrated tasks across your entire data environment. What makes Rubrik AI unique from other offerings in the industry? While other providers rely on siloed tools, passive dashboards, or manual scripting, Rubrik AI is built on a patent-pending design anchored by three core pillars: * Agentic Mode: Acts as a single unified agent spanning Rubrik Security Cloud (RSC) and Rubrik Agent Cloud (RAC). It reasons simultaneously over enterprise data, identity configurations, and third-party deployed AI agents to deliver a holistic, correlated understanding of risk. * Agentic Guardrails: Enforces native RBAC controls to ensure every autonomous action within your environment is fully auditable, attributable, and governed - directly countering the risk of runaway AI. * Agent Communications: Extends Rubrik AI's core intelligence to autonomous third-party agents, allowing them to exchange context and execute complex, multi-step orchestrated tasks across your entire data environment in minutes instead of weeks. What challenges does Rubrik AI help to solve for its customers? As AI continues to gather momentum in enterprises, Rubrik knows that it is still not a perfect system. Rubrik AI bridges the gap between fast-moving autonomous systems and legacy security tools by addressing three core challenge areas: * The AI-Speed Security Gap: According to Rubrik Zero Labs, 86% of global IT and security leaders expect AI agents to outpace their existing security capabilities, and 88% are actively concerned about meeting their Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs). AI threats and rogue agents act at machine speed, rendering human-driven security and recovery workflows obsolete. * Runaway AI Risks: As organizations rapidly deploy internal AI agents, autonomous actors often exceed approved scopes, executing unauthorized system changes, wiping databases, or triggering destructive workflows. Traditional security tools lack the runtime guardrails needed to audit, attribute, or reverse these actions. * Siloed Systems & Lengthy Recovery: Securing modern enterprises requires correlating signals across data, identity, and infrastructure. Manual cross-domain investigation and recovery currently take human security teams weeks, leaving systems vulnerable and operational downtime unsustainably high. How do you envision Rubrik AI will change the way the industry operates? Tech Ascension Awards view Rubrik AI as an efficiency tool within Rubrik's broader security and AI platform. By converting multi-week recovery sequences into automated execution paths completed in minutes, Rubrik AI drastically reduces mean time to recovery (MTTR), ensuring operational continuity, and enabling organizations to reliably meet strict recovery time objectives (RTOs). Rubrik AI also eliminates hundreds of hours of manual scripting and complex cross-team recovery coordination. IT and security teams can shift from reactive, manual intervention to defining high-level business goals, freeing critical technical personnel for strategic initiatives. And finally, by providing auditable, attributable agentic guardrails, Rubrik AI enables corporate boards and executive leaders to confidently accelerate enterprise-wide AI agent deployments without risking catastrophic operational disruptions.

Computer Solutions is headed to the 10th Annual Cyber Security Summit! Join us and Rubrik for a Zero Hour event.

Computer Solutions is headed to the 10th Annual Cyber Security Summit! Join Comsoltx and Rubrik for a Zero Hour event. Most organizations find out how good their incident response plan is the day they actually need it. Zero Hour is built so that the day happens in a workshop room instead. On October 30, 2026, Computer Solutions and Rubrik are leading Zero Hour with Rubrik, a free morning lab at Region One ESC's 10th Annual Cyber Security Summit in Edinburg, Texas. The summit brings together IT and security leaders from K-12 districts, higher education, and county and city agencies across the Rio Grande Valley for a full day of breakout sessions, hands-on labs and vendor demonstrations. What happens at Zero Hour. This is an immersive, hands-on session where attendees get an inside look at how real cyber attacks unfold in real time, and what needs to happen to make them stop. Zero Hour works from real-world incidents that are currently impacting school districts, state agencies and local governments. The session works through Rubrik's threat intelligence alongside identity protection and recovery strategy including how to spot a breach in progress, how to contain it, how to know whether your backups can be trusted, and how to get instruction and operations running again. Why this matters for organizations. School districts possess the data hackers want, such as student records, Social Security numbers, staff data and payroll and even health information. When systems go down, it means that instruction stops and even worse, personal information is at risk of falling into the wrong hands. At the same time, most district and municipal entities are operating with lean IT teams. There's rarely a dedicated person to call during a cyber incident, rarely a second shift and unlikely to be a security operations center. That combination (high-value data, low tolerance for downtime, small teams) makes school districts a perfect target, which is why understanding how to respond in real time is so important. If your organization handles personally identifiable information (PII) or operates with a small IT team, you should attend Zero Hour. What you'll walk away with. * Experience with a live run of an attack: Work through a real-world attack scenario and see the consequences of each decision as it plays out. * A clearer recovery picture: Understand where your current backup and identity protection posture would hold and where it would give. * A funding path: Leave with specific grant and funding resources matched to the gaps you identified that morning. * CPE credit: The summit carries six CPE hours. Registration is a two-step process, and the second step matters: Why Computer Solutions. Computer Solutions has supported Texas school districts, municipalities and public agencies for decades, and works with Rubrik to deploy and manage the cybersecurity solutions, including recovery like this session will simulate. Its team will be available after the lab to answer questions, provide direction and discuss options for school districts and other agencies interested in cybersecurity services. Event details. Seats are limited. Register today or contact the Computer Solutions team with questions about the session.
