Requirements
  • Bilingual English and Spanish language proficiency is required.
  • Four years of experience in multi-family housing or related fields such as social services or community outreach, or a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field.
  • At least one year of experience with after-school programs or educational settings for youth.
  • At least one year of experience serving diverse populations, demonstrating cultural competency and community awareness.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Publisher, and Outlook.
  • Basic proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, Canva, Salesforce, and Concur.
  • A valid driver's license, clean driving record, and current automobile insurance are required.
  • CPR and First Aid certification, or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire, is required.
  • Successful completion of a background check is required.
  • Ability to perform minimal bending, walking, kneeling, reaching, and step climbing, and lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to use a personal automobile to acquire program supplies and donations and attend offsite meetings.
Responsibilities
  • Implement core programs and services across Economic Stability, Education for Youth and Families, Health and Wellness, and Community Building.
  • Conduct outreach and survey resident needs through community engagement aligned with the four program initiatives.
  • Coordinate and oversee an after-school program and teen program, including homework assistance and educational enrichment activities.
  • Plan, prepare, and facilitate resident-facing workshops and group sessions, delivering core topics directly when external partners are unavailable.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with local providers to deliver services and workshops.
  • Plan and facilitate community-building events that foster safe and meaningful relationships between community members.
  • Provide residents with information and referrals to community resources and services, including nonprofit partners delivering services within the four program initiatives.
  • Support food distribution needs, including maintaining food bank partnerships and managing distributions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the property management team and schedule regular communication sessions.
  • Organize and conduct monthly outreach through door-to-door outreach, digital and virtual outreach, and physical presence in high-traffic locations.
  • Recruit, select, train, and oversee volunteers and interns supporting programming at the Resource Center.
  • Publish monthly newsletters and calendars of events.
  • Collect and submit program outcomes data, emphasizing social-impact data collection to measure outcomes within the four program initiatives.
  • Provide input on and adhere to budgets for resident service programs, including authority to use funds for contractors when needed.
