- Engage hands-on with manufacturing and test equipment and automation development.
- Apply manufacturing techniques including 3D printing, machining, fastening, and welding, along with quality inspection methods such as vision inspection and stack teardowns, to support process development.
- Design and run experiments to identify key process parameters; optimize processes to improve process capability, quality, and yield; and decrease cycle time.
- Define, release, and maintain technical documentation including process specifications, manufacturing instructions, and process failure mode and effects analysis.
- Use software tools to develop predictive insights into equipment and process performance to improve manufacturing performance and safety while reducing cost.
- Travel occasionally to Tesla factories, satellite team sites, and domestic or international suppliers.

The package was 14 times larger than the combined total compensation of all other S&P 500 CEOs. Excluding Musk, average CEO pay at S&P 500 companies rose 21% from $18.9 million in 2024 to $22.8 million in 2025. The average CEO-to-worker pay ratio across S&P 500 companies reached 5,387-to-1 in 2025, or 312-to-1 excluding Musk. Tesla shareholders approved the compensation package, which includes performance targets such as the company's market valuation topping $8.5 trillion within 10 years. The median Tesla employee earned $57,243 in 2025. Tesla's 2025 revenue fell 3% year over year to $94 billion, whilst GAAP earnings shrank 61%.
Swedish union IF Metall is ending its nearly three-year strike against Tesla after the company bought out all remaining union members. The strike began on 27 October 2023, when approximately 80 Tesla mechanics walked out demanding a collective bargaining agreement. The 1,021-day dispute became the longest industrial conflict in modern Swedish history. Tesla never signed a collective agreement, maintaining its own pay and benefits already met or exceeded Swedish standards. Despite the prolonged action, the strike had limited visible effect on sales for much of its duration. Tesla's Model Y was Sweden's best-selling car in both 2023 and 2024, with the company posting a record 21,894 vehicle registrations in 2024. Shares of Tesla closed 4% higher on Thursday following the news.
Tesla has applied for tax incentives to build a $10.1 billion solar manufacturing facility in Fort Bend County, Texas. The project, named Crystal Sun, could begin operations in early 2029 and employ over 9,700 workers. The facility would produce photovoltaic cells, assembled solar modules, and related supply chain equipment. Tesla has not disclosed planned production capacity. The company is considering another US location and states the Texas project would be less economically attractive without incentives. Construction could start this year and finish in 2028, pending state and local approvals. The proposal aligns with Tesla's expanded energy infrastructure investment supporting its artificial intelligence and robotics initiatives. Elon Musk previously stated Tesla and SpaceX aim for combined US solar manufacturing capacity of 100 gigawatts annually.
Tesla is considering a $10.1 billion solar cell plant in Texas, according to a tax incentive application filed with the state. Under the Refer and Earn programme, existing Tesla owners can refer friends and family to buy a Tesla. Owners will earn ₹11,000 towards Supercharging or a new Tesla for every person they refer who takes delivery. The first 10 people who order a new Tesla using a referral link will get ₹22,000 off their purchase price. Tesla said the programme is aimed at strengthening its owner community and supporting EV adoption in India. Thane gets chargers Tesla's new Destination Charging location at Lake Shore Thane has four AC Destination Chargers, each with an 11 kW capacity. The chargers are located in the UB parking area and have a claimed uptime of 99.95%. The company said Tesla owners in the Thane region can use the chargers while shopping or dining at the location. Tesla will also hold its first Tesla Experience in Thane at the Lake Shore Thane Courtyard from August 12 to 19. Visitors can see the Model Y and Model Y L through guided walkarounds and product experiences. Test drives can be booked through Tesla's website. Model Y details The 2026 Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive has been updated with Grok AI. It offers 2,138 litres of cargo space, seats up to five people and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. Its range is up to 500 km under the WLTP cycle. The Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive is priced at ₹50.89 lakh. Tesla is offering an indicative EMI starting at ₹39,990, with a down payment of as low as ₹6 lakh. The Model Y L is an all-wheel-drive SUV with three rows and six seats. It offers increased headroom and legroom, along with up to 2,539 litres of cargo space. It has a WLTP range of up to 681 km and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.0 seconds. Prices for the Model Y L start at ₹61.99 lakh, while the monthly EMI starts at ₹49,990, with a down payment of as low as ₹6.5 lakh.
