Requirements
  • 2–5+ years in a shared-services intake, service desk, vendor support, or procurement operations role handling a high-volume shared mailbox or queue.
  • Demonstrated triage judgment, including the ability to classify ambiguous requests correctly and recognize when a request should be routed elsewhere.
  • Working knowledge of vendor management, procurement, or contract processes sufficient to understand incoming requests.
  • Excellent written English for communication with senior internal stakeholders.
  • Knowledge-base authoring and maintenance discipline.
  • Confidentiality judgment when handling commercially sensitive and personal data.
  • Willingness and ability to work a shift-based roster, including night shifts, from the Hyderabad delivery centre.
Responsibilities
  • Own and monitor the vendor management intake mailbox and group alias throughout the shift so no request remains unread.
  • Acknowledge incoming requests within the agreed response window and set expectations for next steps.
  • Categorize and log every request so volume, type, and aging can be reported accurately.
  • Identify and protect sensitive content by moving material containing confidential commercial or personal data to the appropriate restricted channel.
  • Keep the mailbox clear of aged, unowned, or silently closed threads.
  • Triage incoming requests against the knowledge base and direct requesters to the correct resolution path.
  • Resolve requests directly when a documented answer exists.
  • Route requests requiring specialist handling to the correct owning team with sufficient context.
  • Redirect request types that must not be handled in the mailbox to the formal intake path.
  • Track routed requests to confirm they are picked up rather than treating handoff as closure.
  • Provide issue-resolution guidance to vendor managers by email or chat in line with procedure.
  • Escalate queries not covered by the knowledge base through the defined standard operating procedure paths.
  • Recognize urgency and commercial sensitivity and escalate early when delays could affect contractual or supplier relationships.
  • Hand over open and at-risk items cleanly at the end of each shift.
  • Maintain the knowledge base as common queries emerge and processes change, submitting updates for client review.
  • Identify repeat questions that indicate process or communication gaps and propose corrective changes.
  • Report on request volumes, categories, routing accuracy, and recurring themes.
  • Contribute to reducing avoidable requests reaching the mailbox over time.
  • Acknowledge 100% of incoming requests within the agreed response window.
  • Provide a meaningful technical update on 90% of requests within two business hours.
  • Sustain a high first-time-right routing rate and track and root-cause misroutes.
  • Update the knowledge base for every process change and recurring query and review it on the agreed cycle.
  • Ensure no request exceeds the agreed aging threshold without an update or escalation.
  • Evidence a measurable reduction in avoidable requests through category reporting.
  • Sustain at least 95% against the weighted quality scorecard, with emphasis on technical accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and communication.
  • Sustain at least 95% of responses rated Excellent or Good.
  • Use shared mailboxes, group aliases, enterprise chat, enterprise ticketing and issue-tracking systems, the vendor management knowledge base, standard operating procedures, spreadsheet tools, and business intelligence tooling to perform intake, guidance, ticketing, knowledge management, and reporting activities.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience owning a knowledge base and measurably reducing repeat contacts.
  • Exposure to contract lifecycle, supplier performance, or procurement platforms.
  • Experience with information technology service management tooling and ticket categorization.
  • Experience building reports or dashboards on request volumes and themes.
  • ITIL Foundation or equivalent service management certification.

Astreya integrates 3CLogic voice AI into ServiceNow to unify contact center and ITSM operations

Astreya, a global IT managed services provider, has expanded its AI-first service desk by integrating 3CLogic's voice AI platform with ServiceNow IT Service Management. The integration unifies voice interactions, incident management and AI insights in a single interface, eliminating the need for agents to switch between multiple systems. The platform delivers production-ready AI capabilities including real-time transcription, AI-driven guidance during live interactions, automated call summaries and AI-powered quality monitoring. 3CLogic holds ServiceNow's Elite Build Partner status, the highest technical integration level available. The integration aims to transform voice interactions into connected, searchable assets whilst enabling users to interact with AI agents via voice channels. Astreya says the unified approach addresses the complexity of modern enterprise service environments.

Cognizant acquires Astreya to scale AI infrastructure amid $6.7T data centre buildout

Cognizant has agreed to acquire Astreya, a global AI-first IT managed services provider based in San Jose, California, for an undisclosed sum. The transaction, expected to close in the second quarter of 2026, will expand Cognizant's AI infrastructure capabilities and strengthen its position as an "AI builder". Founded in 2001 and operating across over 35 countries, Astreya provides managed services to six of the "Magnificent Seven" hyperscalers. Its proprietary AI OpsHub platform and expertise in designing and managing AI infrastructure across the full value chain will complement Cognizant's existing capabilities. The acquisition comes amid a projected $6.7 trillion AI data centre infrastructure buildout between 2025 and 2030, with the five largest hyperscalers expected to spend nearly $700 billion on infrastructure in 2026 alone.

Cognizant to buy Astreya for about $600 million. Published 04/29/2026, 04:34 AM Updated 04/29/2026, 04:36 AM (C) Reuters. By Milana Vinn and Natalia Bueno Rebolledo April 29 (Reuters) - Cognizant Technology has agreed to buy Astreya, an IT services and technology provider focused on AI infrastructure and data center services, in a deal valued at around $600 million, the company told Reuters. The deal is expected to strengthen Cognizant's AI infrastructure capabilities, as companies ramp up spending on the technology that is reshaping industries. The deal, expected to close in the second quarter of 2026 pending regulatory approvals, is likely to be announced on Wednesday. Cognizant has benefited from enterprise clients accelerating AI integration and automation as they migrate workloads to the cloud. The company has expanded partnerships with Microsoft and AI startup Anthropic to stay ahead of rivals in a highly competitive industry. "By acquiring Astreya and its proprietary AI tooling and production-grade infrastructure platform, which is complementary to Cognizant's AI builder stack, we will be even better-positioned to help clients architect their platform-led AI systems and operationalise them at scale," Chief Executive Ravi Kumar S said. The Astreya deal builds on a recent run of acquisitions aimed at strengthening Cognizant's AI business. The company bought tech consulting firm 3Cloud in January to expand its Microsoft Azure capabilities and acquired digital engineering firm Belcan in 2024 for nearly $1.3 billion. Founded in 2001, Astreya has spent nearly a decade managing data center infrastructure, AI lab environments and enterprise networks for six of the so-called Magnificent Seven tech firms. Cognizant, valued at $26 billion, has lost more than a third of its market value this year, weighed down by a weak demand outlook for IT services and AI-driven deflation fears.
