Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent or post-secondary education is required.
  • A Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates Advanced Associates Program Certificate for GI Technicians is required.
  • At least one year of experience as an Interventional GI Lab Technician is required.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification is required.
  • Visual color acuity screening may be required depending on the role in specific units.
Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and provide direct care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Assist physicians with complicated interventional cases to support optimal outcomes.
  • Contribute to operational functions through schedule development and physician preference card management.
  • Maintain the supplies and equipment necessary for the department.
Desired Qualifications
  • Two years of experience as an Interventional GI Technician is preferred.
