Requirements
  • Graduate from high school or hold a general education degree.
  • Have two to three months of related experience and/or training.
  • Read and interpret procedures, policies, regulations, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, staff, and the public.
  • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of non-standard situations.
  • Interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, and schedule-based instructions.
  • Lift and/or push 40 pounds.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • Meet the specified physical requirements, including sitting, standing, walking, handling objects and controls, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, hearing, climbing, balancing, and multiple vision abilities.
Responsibilities
  • Organize and supervise regularly scheduled ongoing activities using school recreation facilities during non-school hours and summer vacation periods as scheduled by the principal or designee.
  • Open and close recreational facilities, including the gym, pool, multi-purpose area, and locker rooms, as scheduled.
  • Ensure building security, appropriate play, and responsible behavior.
  • Distribute and collect supplies and equipment for various activities.
  • Maintain clean and orderly storage areas for supplies and equipment.
  • Notify the site administrator or plant manager of incidents, problems, or concerns.
  • Perform other tasks and assume other responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.
  • Adhere to all district policies and regulations.
