Radioprotection Officer
About the job
- STARS and DATR authorizations are mandatory.
- A Bac+2 to Bac+3 educational background in radioprotection or the nuclear environment is required.
- At least 3 to 4 years of professional experience in operational radioprotection at nuclear facilities is required.
- Knowledge of radioprotection fundamentals, radiological controls, dosimetry, and regulations applicable to work in nuclear environments is required.
- Ability to use radiological measurement instruments and associated tracking tools is required.
- Additional nuclear authorizations such as SCN, CSQ, RP2, and H0-B0 are advantageous.
- Ability to work rigorously, autonomously, and responsively in field conditions while applying safety rules is required.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with operators, work supervisors, and other site personnel is required.
- Monitor field activities and ensure compliance with safety and radioprotection rules on worksites.
- Conduct studies, inspections, and mapping related to safety and radioprotection.
- Manage the site's radioactive sources and conduct radiological inspections of nuclear transports.
- Control access to controlled areas and validate work authorizations, work regimes, and hot-work permits.
- Support worksite monitoring and assist work teams while analyzing operating documents from a safety and radioprotection perspective.
- Conduct safety inductions for new workers and perform field safety and radioprotection visits.
- Track corrective actions arising from inspections and contribute to continuous improvement of HSE practices.
- Respond to incidents or emergencies and participate in the operational management of fire prevention.
- Experience in nuclear decommissioning or on worksites with significant radiological risks is particularly appreciated.
