Requirements
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, Registered Nursing, or Vocational/Practical Nurse program.
  • Certification as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Registered Nurse.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for up to 1 hour at a time.
  • Ability to bend and twist as needed to properly attach electrodes.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for EEG procedures by explaining the process clearly and ensuring their comfort and cooperation.
  • Attach electrodes accurately according to standardized protocols and ensure high-quality signal connectivity.
  • Monitor patient responses throughout procedures, identify artifacts, and adjust as necessary for safety and optimal data collection.
  • Operate Xenter-provided equipment to capture detailed brain wave recordings for diagnostic evaluation.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of procedures, patient information, and technical findings in compliance with HIPAA standards.
  • Generate patient reports and upload them for neurologists or other physicians to review.
  • Clean testing equipment after each patient and follow safety and infection control standards.
  • Carry testing equipment components in designated protective cases when traveling to different clinics.
  • Ensure equipment is working properly and follow troubleshooting protocols to maintain clinic workflow.
  • Train and mentor new and existing EEG Technicians on procedures, equipment operation, and clinic protocols.
  • Train staff in phlebotomy techniques and best practices.
  • Help schedule and coordinate EEG Technician staffing across clinic locations.
  • Support hiring efforts for EEG Technician positions, including participating in candidate interviews and evaluations.
  • Serve as a point of contact between EEG Technicians and clinic or administrative staff.
  • Build working relationships with clinic staff to support smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Model patient-centered customer service for the team.
  • Travel within the assigned geographical region to support multiple clinic locations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior experience training or mentoring staff, ideally in a clinical or healthcare setting.
  • Prior supervisory or management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to brain function and neurological assessments.
  • Strong communication skills for explaining procedures clearly to patients of diverse backgrounds and coordinating with clinic staff.
  • Relationship-building and collaborative skills across clinic teams.
  • Ability to lead and stay on task under minimal supervision.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish.

Xenter raises $58.25M Series B to launch XenFi wireless medical device platform

Xenter, a Utah-based TechMed company, has closed its Series B financing round, raising $58.25 million. The funding, completed on 30 June, will support the commercial launch of XenFi, its wireless healthcare intelligence platform, and continued development of wireless medical devices. The round attracted participation from existing shareholders, family offices, and healthcare investors. Proceeds will fund commercial expansion, technology development, manufacturing, and clinical initiatives. Founded in 2020 by Richard J. Linder, Xenter develops diagnostic evaluation systems and wireless medical devices that capture Physical Intelligence data. The company plans to initiate clinical testing of its Guru dual sensor physiology guidewire for Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement procedures.
