- A qualification as a Proyectista, Technical Draftsperson, Higher-Level Technician, or related career is required.
- More than five years of experience in industrial or mining projects is required.
- Demonstrated experience modeling piping systems and developing engineering documentation is required.
- Knowledge of design standards and practices for mining and industrial plants is required.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary environments is required.
- Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD Plant 3D, Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, or similar tools is required.
- Experience developing BIM models for engineering projects is required.
- Ability to generate piping isometric drawings and documentation is required.
- Ability to interpret P&IDs, process diagrams, and technical specifications is required.
- Knowledge of piping supports and industrial design criteria is required.
- Experience with BIM coordination and clash detection is required.
- Develop 3D models of piping systems using BIM platforms and specialized design tools.
- Prepare general arrangement drawings, layouts, isometrics, and fabrication and installation drawings.
- Coordinate models with mechanical, process, civil, structural, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.
- Participate in interdisciplinary design reviews and clash-detection processes.
- Incorporate technical specifications, line lists, supports, and equipment into project models and drawings.
- Generate technical documentation for the different engineering stages.
- Support implementation of and compliance with GHD BIM standards and modeling procedures.
- Collaborate with discipline engineers to optimize layouts and design solutions.
- Participate in reviews with clients and execution teams when required.
- Ensure the quality and consistency of project graphical information.
- Knowledge of document-management platforms and common data environments (CDEs) is desirable.
- Experience with concentrator plants, tailings systems, water conveyance, or mining infrastructure is a plus.
- Experience on projects delivered using BIM methodologies is a plus.
- Experience modeling secondary structures and piping supports is a plus.
- Experience collaborating with international teams is a plus.
