Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) from an accredited educational institution is required.
  • Ideally, candidates have at least 1 year of industrial-related experience in a technical or operations-related field, particularly mechanical or electrical work.
  • Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive company and personal vehicles to pick up materials, travel around large facilities, and travel to locations away from assigned locations.
  • Candidates must be willing to work flexible hours, including holidays and weekends, and be subject to call-outs and occasional overtime.
  • Candidates must be able to complete NexTech Skill Sets I and II.
  • Candidates must demonstrate mechanical aptitude, critical-thinking and decision-making ability, adherence to policies and procedures, and commitment to the company's stated core values.
  • Candidates must work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions near refined petroleum products and heavy equipment, lift up to 75 pounds unassisted, work in non-permit-required confined spaces, communicate by two-way radio, traverse uneven terrain, safely operate tools and equipment, climb tank steps and vertical ladders to heights up to 60 feet, work from valve platforms and tanks, meet visual-acuity and color-recognition requirements, and detect petroleum products by smell.
Responsibilities
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic systems across the pipeline network.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
  • Support emergency-response efforts and maintain related equipment.
  • Manage parts requisitions and assist with budget tracking.
  • Complete documentation for Department of Transportation compliance and internal reporting.
Desired Qualifications
  • Completion of an apprenticeship and/or an Associate or Technical degree in a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience in industrial maintenance or pipeline operations.
  • Ideally, at least 3 years of industrial field operations experience, including approximately 2 years as a mechanical or electrical technician.
  • Ideally, at least 1 year of experience as a Pipeline Technician.
  • Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training, forklift training or licensing, and other state licenses.
