- A completed degree in business informatics, engineering sciences, or comparable IT training, together with many years of practical experience in the SAP environment.
- Many years of experience developing and technically owning complex SAP solutions, with a focus on SAP S/4HANA and integration architectures.
- Very good knowledge of ABAP and ABAP Objects, interfaces, and integration patterns including BAdIs, OData, BAPIs, IDocs, REST, and Kafka-based messaging or event streaming.
- Confident use of SAP S/4HANA-specific technologies including CDS and OData.
- Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform and cloud topics is desirable.
- Experience designing BP target architectures, standards, and governance rules covering role logic, data quality, separation of duties, and logging, and implementing them within a team.
- Technical leadership experience, including moderating architecture decisions, coaching developers, and establishing best practices for development, testing, and operations.
- Very good German language skills, written and spoken, at least level C1.
- Drive the technical evolution of SAP Business Partner in the SAP S/4HANA environment and take responsibility for architecture, integration design, and technical quality.
- Develop target architectures and technical concepts for partner-data processes, interfaces, and integrations between SAP S/4HANA, SAP-related systems, and non-SAP applications using technologies such as REST, Kafka, and SAP Business Technology Platform.
- Moderate architecture decisions within the team, evaluate technology options such as core versus side-by-side extensions on SAP Business Technology Platform, and prepare decision materials for Product Owners, architecture, and stakeholders.
- Advance modern connectivity through REST APIs, Kafka or event streaming, and SAP Business Technology Platform, and define standards for integration patterns, security, observability, and maintainability in the SAP Business Partner environment.
- Work with business departments, Product Owners, SAP Basis, integration platforms, non-SAP teams, and external partners to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Ensure that data protection, IT security, compliance, and operational requirements are incorporated into architecture, implementation, and operations from the outset.
- Support migrations, modernization, and interface adaptations as the SAP S/4HANA landscape and distributed business-partner model evolve, including CVI and BP-FI or FSCD connections.
- Establish standards for development, testing, monitoring, documentation, and operations in the SAP Business Partner context, and coach developers toward technical excellence.
- Analyze complex incidents, performance issues, and data-quality problems in end-to-end processes and derive structural improvements for applications and interfaces.
- Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform and cloud topics.
