Requirements
  • Two years of experience in an inpatient hospital setting.
  • A current state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse is required.
  • A current Basic Life Support certification is required.
  • Knowledge of current nursing theory and practice and infection prevention standards of practice.
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards established by state agencies, The Joint Commission, and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
  • Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures, with the ability to use proper policies, procedures, and guidelines in patient care.
  • General computer skills including data entry, word processing, email, and records management.

  • Ability to work during inclement weather and staffing emergencies when required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide skilled nursing care to patients as ordered by the physician and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Implement medication and treatment orders in accordance with the nursing care plan written by the Registered Nurse.
  • Provide information to the Registered Nurse to assist in developing an individualized plan of care for each patient.
  • Participate in evaluating the effectiveness of interventions in relation to patient responses and seek guidance for redirection when necessary.
  • Report rendered patient care, patient needs, problems, and resolutions to the supervisor.
  • Help identify patient problems and potential risks and contribute to developing interventions.
  • Assist in identifying patients’ learning needs and reinforce self-care and other techniques.
  • Designate applicable charges to individual patients using the hospital’s established system.
  • Provide an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and staff; assess safety risks and implement appropriate precautions.
  • Comply with approved safety and infection prevention standards.
  • Maintain regular attendance according to the assigned work schedule.
  • Complete required training as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational effectiveness.

ClearSky Health announced plans to build two new 36-bed medical rehabilitation hospitals in Casa Grande, Arizona, and Seneca, South Carolina.
