Figure to acquire Kiavi for $717M, adding $7B annual loan volume to blockchain marketplace

Figure Technology Solutions has agreed to acquire Kiavi, an AI-powered lending platform for residential real estate investors, for $717 million. A joint venture between Figure and Sixth Street will purchase Kiavi's balance sheet assets. Kiavi, the largest residential transition loan lender, provides short-term and long-term rental property loans. The acquisition will add over $7 billion in annual first-lien volume to Figure's blockchain marketplace and more than $100 million monthly to its Democratized Prime platform. Figure plans to tokenise Kiavi's assets on its blockchain infrastructure, marking a $200 billion annual addressable origination opportunity. Kiavi CEO Arvind Mohan will join Figure's executive team as chief business officer following the deal's close. The transaction supports Figure's goal of bringing entire asset classes onto blockchain whilst maintaining its 60% EBITDA margin target.
