About the job
- A valid North Carolina Registered Nurse license or Compact State Registered Nurse license is required.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is required.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills are required.
- The ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment is required.
- The ability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays is required.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care in accordance with hospital policies and standards of nursing practice.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes, and respond appropriately in accordance with hospital policies and standards of nursing practice.
- Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and support staff to ensure effective care coordination.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and promptly.
- Educate patients and families regarding conditions, procedures, and ongoing care needs.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure patient safety.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients and staff.
- One year of experience in medical-surgical nursing is preferred.
