Lucid stock plummets 61% despite doubling production to 17,840 vehicles in 2025

Lucid Group shares have fallen 61% over the past six months, though the electric vehicle maker showed some progress in recent quarters. The company produced 7,874 vehicles in Q4, up 132% year-over-year, whilst deliveries rose 72% to 5,345 units. However, significant challenges remain. Lucid posted a Q4 operating loss of nearly $1.1 billion, contributing to a total 2025 operating loss of $3.5 billion. The company plans to launch two midsize vehicles, Cosmos and Earth, priced under $50,000 later this year. The timing proves difficult as US EV sales declined 2% last year amid growing recession concerns. The EV maker faces mounting losses and a broader market slowdown, making its path to profitability uncertain despite production improvements.

The Rise of Sustainable Fashion: A Trend That's Here to Stay In recent years, there has been a noticeable shift in the fashion industry towards sustainability. With increasing awareness about the environmental and social impacts of fast fashion, consumers are becoming more conscious about the clothes they buy and the brands they support. This has led to a growing demand for sustainable and ethical fashion options, and many designers and brands are responding to this demand by incorporating sustainable practices into their production processes. One of the key drivers of the rise of sustainable fashion is the growing concern about the environmental impact of the fashion industry. The fashion industry is one of the most polluting industries in the world, with huge amounts of water, energy, and chemicals used in the production of clothing. In addition, the industry generates a significant amount of waste, with millions of tons of clothing ending up in landfills each year. This has led to calls for more sustainable and eco-friendly practices in the fashion industry. Another factor driving the rise of sustainable fashion is the increasing awareness about the social impact of the fashion industry. Many consumers are becoming more aware of the poor working conditions and low wages faced by garment workers in developing countries, and are demanding more transparency and accountability from fashion brands. This has led to a growing interest in ethical fashion, which prioritizes fair labor practices and supports workers' rights. In response to these trends, many designers and brands are embracing sustainability and incorporating eco-friendly practices into their production processes. This includes using organic and recycled materials, reducing water and energy consumption, and ensuring fair labor practices throughout the supply chain. Some brands are also embracing circular fashion principles, such as designing clothes that can be recycled or repurposed at the end of their life cycle. The rise of sustainable fashion has also been fueled by the growing popularity of eco-conscious influencers and celebrities who are using their platforms to promote sustainable fashion choices. This has helped to raise awareness about the importance of sustainability in the fashion industry and has inspired many consumers to make more environmentally friendly choices when it comes to their clothing purchases. Overall, the rise of sustainable fashion is a trend that is here to stay. With increasing awareness about the environmental and social impact of the fashion industry, consumers are demanding more sustainable and ethical fashion options. This has led to a growing number of designers and brands embracing sustainability and incorporating eco-friendly practices into their production processes. As the fashion industry continues to evolve, it is clear that sustainability will be a key focus for the future of fashion. April 5, 2026
